You seriously think I want to see him leave? You seriously think if I did it would be because he didn't shake Evras hand? Check the league table. Suarez has been at the club for 12 months now...are we in the top three? As I said before the ball's in his court. We WILL be in a better position if we get the Suarez who works hard and skins defenders for fun I can't argue with that but as I was saying a long time before any of this kicked off he's **** all use to us when he's sitting in the stand and he's **** all use to us rolling round pretending he's broken his leg or sitting on his arse waving his arms at the ref. Time for him to man up and start delivering then we'll all be happy.
The main thing about Cantona is also that he was utterly vital to our team. We won the league every season he played for us, except the one he missed through suspension, and he bagged us two FA Cups as well. Suarez' importance to your team right now is purely subjective imo, based on perceptions of his technique and skill. Remember that whilst he was suspended you knocked City and Utd out of both cups, and got seven points from five league games including away to City and home to Newcastle and Stoke. I think if Suarez was winning games consistently and almost single handedly, a la Cantona, then no Liverpool fan would care quite so much about his other antics.
Ps......I have a season ticket AND go to roughly 50-60% of away games a season AND yes I did go Saturday so don't presume you're any more of a REAL fan than anyone else. ****ing cheeky that is lad and disrespectful.
I was one of those fans that was a bit fed of up signing players who are here just to do a particular job, usually in unspectacular fashion ala Kuyt and Maxi. I wanted a spark, someone who is unpredictable and will time to time upset people. The recent events have made me value the players like Kuyt and Maxi who keep quiet and get on with the job. Do I still want unpredictable, quality players like Suarez in the team? Yes I do, but I don't want to compromise the clubs respect and reputation. If Suarez can keep his head down, and out of the papers (for the wrong reasons) then he should definately stay. This is the first time the club has condemned Luis so maybe he will realise that we won't support him just for the sake of it.
You're right mate it's what he does on the pitch that matters, and like I say we will undoubtedly be a better team with an on form Suarez so now he has to prove he can man up and be the player he ought to be.
By refusing to shake Evra's hand..the referee was too careful in awarding free kicks in his favour.Rio Ferdinard actually foewed him at the edge of the box..possibly a sending off offence also, but the referee would not like to cause a controversy.
Hmm you're not talking about that brilliant tackle on Suarez are you, where Rio won the ball and Suarez rolled around screaming that he was fouled (as usual)?
Zingy. If you look at the banter thread, you'll see I've been told that he's going in the summer - end of.
There's so much that's uncleat about this whole debacle, from the original incident - did Evra start the whole thing, to the match - a photo did suggest that Suarez initially offered his hand, didn't see a response, so moved on. Evra then grabs him whilst looking at the press. However, I'm reliably informed that he's going in the Summer, so any further speculation is unecessary.
As far as I can see, Suarez to Real is the only real rumour that is circulating. Its an old rumour, given new life by Suarez being forced to apologise to United and Evra over this stupid handshake. There don't appear to be any sources for this, so I can only conclude its still just a rumour. Still, if they want ot give us £30mil for him, it'd be good business for a player who's scored 13 in 36 appearances - not exactly the figures for a topline striker.
Christ, if Tevez can be accepted back into the fold then by god so can Suarez. How can anyone be certain that Suarez will be certain to leave in the summer? Has a bid been tabled? Are we willing to let him go for less than £25m? which is what the bids will be for an unsettled/forced out player. I would be very very disappointed if the club kicked suarez out after this. He made a mistake, and appologised. give him time to see if it's sincere. It's time to move on - anyone would think he had attacked a team mate with a golf club ffs...
Yeah but the player who attacked with the golf club did get sold Look ultimately we all (I presume) want the same thing...LFC back on OUR perch Whether we get there with or without Suarez I don't much care. Are we more likely to get back to the top with players like him around? At his best he's a magic little player to watch so yes we need talent like his in our team, I don't think many would disagree with that. Quite simply though we need him ON the pitch every week and playing at his best on a consistent basis.
Lets see if your saying the same thing, when THE ENTIRE STADIUM is singing his name AT THE TOP OF THERE VOICE at the next home game, and the one after the that, and the one after and the one after that, and the one after that. ps. are you mystic meg or Nostredamus?? ps, this is a from yesterday, 24 HOURS AGO about an hour before the LFC statement http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/124211-Luis-Suarez-appreciation-thread IM STILL SINGING His name is Suarez he wears the famous red I just can't get enough I just can't get enough When he scores a volley or scores with his head I just can't get enough I just can't get enough He scores a goal and the Kop go wild And I just can't seem to get enough de de de de de de de de de de de de de de de de de de de de de de LUIS SUAREZ
Believe me, I don't want him to go, nor do I think he should. Evra (and Ferguson) has been far from squeaky clean in all of this. It's what I've been told by a very good friend who wouldn't get this wrong. Nothing will be said about it as it would damage his sale value
I'll be singing Kennys name then so it'll only be 99.999% of the stadium. I'll happily sing Suarez name again....when he earns it
