Ok its gonna be a fun runin and I guess we've as good a chance as any in the top 12 of making the playoffs. What can we do even from a distance to make that 12th man on the pitch? COYH.... Is it Malky McKays Bassini Balmy Army?

I am doing my best with the Bordeaux. ;)

Bottles can be brought over on my next trip for a few Euros each.

Seriously though, we can make all the right noises on the forums to support Malky and his band of players.

The chap with the lucky pot-plant and the rolled up trouser leg was there again on Saturday, and it worked! Plus for the last two home games we have bought two sausage rolls and a slice of bread pudding from Critelli's--works for us.

Is it possible to get SEJ to lead the Rookery in a song. I read he did this in a cup game against Reading and Watford won 5-0.

How does anyone know that SEJ led the singing in that game against Reading. The fog was so thick we had to wait for the cheers to make their way around the ground before we knew that we had scored. It is the only time I have paid to not be able to see a game!

Went to the Vic on Saturday with the Mrs. We were both appalled at the lack of atmosphere from home fans. Sat in the Rookery 1st half and heard nothing from the much publicised yellow order. Loudest chant of the day was "Henderson,Henderson" as he left the pitch. How sad is that?

Spent the second half in the Upper Rous at the Vic Road End. Even worse up there. If you shout and scream up there, you get stared at by old blokes or women in tweed skirts who probably thought Sarries were at home and made a mistake.

I love the Vic (well, three sides of it antway) but oh for the good old days when crowds of 6000 would really raise the volume with songs and general support.

As the blades fans sang "Your support is f******* s***". Malky and the boys deserve better but I am at a complete loss as to what the solution is.

I can not understand how we can be so vocal away from home yet create the atmosphere of a monastic library at home.

    Rant (sort of) over

    Welcome to "not" exeter.

Can't disagree with you about the lack of atmosphere now - but having been to the Vic for nearly 50 years - through Divisions 1 to 4 and the Premiership, Championship etc I have never known crowds of 6000 raising any volume to speak of. The ground is and always has been something of an atmospheric graveyard. I had hoped the new stands would throw sounds forward to the pitch but they never did.

We have to face it - we are not a passionately vocal bunch in Watford

Just prior to Gts early days and after he had come. The Rookery with its low roof would be sparsely populated (6-7K in the ground) and we would create a hell of a noise for such few in number - and one chant seemed to follow another.

I'm 51 now so perhaps my mind is playing games but it just seemed to be so much louder.
You are right though - we have never been, and never will be, like a northern industrial town when it comes to out and out passion - or rather expressing it.

Yes - think for those of us in a part of the ground singing and chanting we seemed quite noisy but even then if you stood (stood :) ) somewhere else it did not sound much - I liked some of those days - when Mike Keen was manager we may have been in Division 4 but we had some fun :)

I think you team should be proud of themselves as at the start of the season i watched a N Power championship preview and they was slagging you off so much saying you where odds on going down, but you are in their with a shout and whatever happens it would be a good season for you

Thanks Tiger - your lot have not done themselves badly either - its always difficult for a couple of years after coming down from the Prem as wages / player expectations etc all have to be sorted - and you got off to a slow start but as it is you're only a whisker away from the play offs now. Good luck - hope you finish in the play offs so long as it is not at our expense <ok>

Maybe we can be a pressure group that has some say in things if we get the numbers. Need to go in with WST and CYHSYF, BHD etc. So we need more members on this site . Maybe anyone on twitter can big us up with this. Use the wobby website too.
