Eric, if there is one thing good that has come out of this whole debacle it is that, on this site at least, it has proved possible for fans of different clubs to hold and voice views without letting that get in the way of respect. For many of us it has been a hard lesson - but none the less worthy for that. There will always be individuals who will forget the lessons that we have learnt. There will be times when heated arguments get out of hand - that's life. But if Liverpool and United fans can share threads it should stand as a testimony to others.

1) Claiming the ref had cheated him at the coin toss at the start of the game.

2) Acting like a girl 'cause he couldn't get Luis booked after he screamed like a banshee and rolled around on the floof after they brushed knees (the first instance - of MANY where the FA panel actually took Evra's word rather than checked whether a foul had actually been committed).

3) Calling Luis a Sudaca and telling him to fook his sister in pidgin Spanish - and then the FA accepting that this is simply an 'exclaimation'. Zut alors! Mon Dieu! Merde!, they're the exclaimation a Frenchman might say if they hit their finger with a hammer. To translate a slur into Spanish about your spanish-speaking oppenent as just a reflex exclaimation? Yeah......

4) Changing what he was called, where and how many times when he went through the video evidence with the FA, then claiming that he changed what he said about being called a 'nigga' because he couldn't bring himself to utter that word - YouTube anyone?

5) Shaving his pubes and donating the hair to Rooney's wig.
