Pards has stated that Sol has a good chance of playing against Stoke, as you need your big headers of the ball for that game.

Im not sure if we should disrupt our back-line. Unless we have to shuffle it around because of injury, or he is planning of playing 3 at the back.

Either way i would have Tayls ahead of him, he is a very good header of the ball (not as good as Sol I'll grant) and is a lot more mobile.

If it's 3 at the back (will only happen if Jose is injured IMO)

    ------------- Harper
    ----- Tayls - Willow - Colo
    Simmo ------------------ Fergie
    --------Tiote ---- Nolan
    Ranger ----------------- Jonas/Loven
    ------------- Best

Hopefully Jonas will be fit, but if not then Loven will do. Hoping Ranger is fit aswell mind!

This is me guessing that Jose, Barton and Ireland are not going to make it. I think Jonas and Ranger have a much better chance, as there hasn't been much said in the media about them.

Ranger won't start coz of his attitude problem. Jonas on the left, Lover on the right. Otherwise that looks good.

Tiote might be injured though, so I would play Guthrie in CM and make sure Tiote is fully fit for the upcoming games.

If Tiote isn't injured, another option (probably what I'd play) is

    -------------Harper-------------
    Simmo----Saylor*---Collo*---Ferg
    ------Tiote------Guthrie----
    Lover------Nolan-------Jonas
    -----------Best-----------

    *Possibly Willo instead

I think this has calmed down a lot. Pards has said his attitude in training has improved. I'm just hoping that he really buckles down and stops trying to be so Gangsta!

I didn't know Pardew had said that. I also hope that if he does start, he scores coz it will give him a major confidence boost.

We've got too many injuries and niggles at present in key positions so if Campbell is recalled to the first XI then I'm not overly concerned as I see him doing well in the air against Stoke.

Then again, if he does score, he will suddenly think 'I'm amazing. I don't need to try or work hard.'

    HOPEFULLY HE WON'T

Apart from Enrique we're full strength at the back, Campbell shouldn't be getting anywhere near the team.

    Harper
    Simpson Williamson Coloccini Taylor
    Ranger Tiote Nolan Ferguson
    Best Lovenkrands

I don't think he should be either.

I think it was the friendly at Carlisle when I heard about his signing and I could hardly believe it.

Too fat too slow, his good days are well behind him. Must have been the Spuds connection once again.

Always thought he was signed as back up, with the intention of keeping him on as a coach once he retires. Probably good for the younger defenders to learn from as he's been one of the best PL defenders of his time.

Wouldnt want him starting against Stoke though. Why should he when we have Colo, Willo & STaylor fit?
