Really not that much IMHO. I'd say just top class winger and striker and then (obviously) everyone in the team to play at the op of their game. (easier said than done) We have the second best defence in the league and our chance creation, normally, is pretty good.

Fine, what do you think LFC need to challenge.

Think Henderson is one for the future, an excellent midfielder would help, a schiensteiger(spell) perhaps....

This season we've built a decent squad and got rid of a lot of dead wood, but for me now we need to add Quality.

And most importantly a top quality winger, but how many years have we been saying that for now? It doesn't have to be anyone fantastic, just some one who can take a player on and can deliver the ball good.

As a club the foundation is there, but building on it is the hardest bit and this summer our purchases have to be much more shrewd.

So is it a mental problem, do we have the wrong mentality, we should be beating the bottom teams home and away. We have a great record against the top team. How can we improve our mentality, is it Kenny's fault?

Money... and lots of it. Arsenal have just as much chance as you if I'm to be honest. The game has changed. Having a sugar daddy is what is required to challenge for the title these days. The only exception is Tottenham but that's due to having a great manager and finding amazing players at a bargain. Even if Redknapp stays, I'll be surprised if they replicate the same success they've had so far this season.

I mean, you came close during 08/09 season and since then you've just regressed. Some would say sacking Rafa would be the reason why but again I think his time at Liverpool was coming to an inevitable end. What teams like Liverpool and Arsenal need is stability and funds to buy players.

In our case, Arsene (or the board) are just being tight. With Liverpool you just bought some poor players at an inflated price. Bellamy has been great for you this season but Caroll, Adam amongst others are championship quality.

    Fair comments

but if we buy better players, Carroll and Adam will become squad players, and they are good players to have.

When you look at that liverpool team with Gerrard, Masch, Alonso, Torres etc, we should have won the league, we have gone backwards due to H&G. We really must spend in the summer and get some really good players in.

A work in progress but 7th very dissapointing, still unbeaten at home and good consistency in the cups. So some positives also

I would not swap our back five with any other, especially now Rio and Vidic are a little injury prone and ageing (no offence) De Gea is a worry too.
We have a good foundation to build from.

Suarez for me, should not play as a number nine, should be on the right of a front three or playing as a number 10(support striker)

Would like a world class forward. Like a Torres of old. (cavanni?)

I actually like Carroll in the middle of a front three.

    Remember Mouriniho's Chelsea.

    Duff Drogba Robben

Such a great front 3, and the wide men got a lot of goals. I even remember them both scoring the same goal once.

    .......Suarez.............................................Bellemy
    ............................Carroll..................................

Works for me, would like to see amother midfielder, Isla / Scweinsteiger one more forward Cavanni / Sessegnon and another right winger Ericksson / Hazzard. Phase 2 will be the hardest part of the rebuild. We must buy players that are better than whar we have and these players are hard to get and cost £25 mill+. We need a statement of intent from the owners in the summer.

athletic, consistent, fast, strong, good engine, Typical German. Would be an outstanding signing, we have not been linked, but It would be an outstanding signing.

Bastian Schweinsteiger (pronounced [ˈbasti̯an ˈʃvaɪnʃtaɪɡɐ] ( listen), born 1 August 1984 in Kolbermoor, West Germany) is a German footballer who plays as a midfielder for Bayern Munich and the German national team. A right-footed player, he is capable of playing out wide or in a more central role

    Would cost about 20-30 mill

You need, as someone previously stated, to achieve Champions League Status.

This will need significant investment to catch up with the far superior Squads of City, Spurs, Chelsea and United, as things stand you could spend another £200M and still be nowhere near challenging for the title.
