Should Man City apply to F.I.F.A. to have Carlos Tevez banned from playing football anywhere that comes under F.I.F.A. rules, until is dispute is settled with the club.
By that I mean that Carlos would vitually be banned from playing football anywhere in the world even for an non proffessional club if he is found out that he is playing football that country would be banned from all international football for 4 yrs.

How can Mancini recall Tevez when he has been so humiliated? He refused to play for him, went to south America and M categorically stated that T was finished at City. Where is your dignity and pride Mancini?

I am sure if Tevez plays in the first team again it will not be because RM wants him to play but becuae he has to play him.

I think that would result in Joorabchian slapping a restraint of trade suit on FIFA faster than you can say "money grabbing rat"...

This. It all seems like a bit of brinkmanship between the two. Tevez will probably try and get his contract annulled under FIFA laws having played less than 10% of City's games this season. By saying he'll play again he makes it look like he's willing to play but City have frozen him out which will help his case. If Mancini says he's willing to play Tevez, then Tevez doesn't turn up, FIFA won't let him cancel the contract. I'd expect a fair few last minute sub appearances for Tevez in the next few months to boost his appearance stats and perhaps a few last minute strains that conveniently leave him unable to play in the full 10% of games...

Tho' I'd love to be a fly on the wall in the City dressing room if Balotelli gets dropped in favour of Tevez. That may cause a few fireworks... <whistle>

Carlos Tevez will report back to Manchester City on Tuesday keen to make amends with manager Roberto Mancini and help the club win the Premier League title, according to the player's representatives.

It is also believed that the Argentina striker is likely to drop his appeal to the Premier League against a six-week club fine totalling around £1.2million as part of the peace moves.

Tevez is flying back from Argentina today after being frozen out at City since he refused to warm up during a Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich three and a half months ago.

He will need two or three weeks back in training to regain full fitness but should then be available for selection by Mancini as City, who returned to the top of the Premier League with a 1-0 win at Aston Villa yesterday, look to push on for the title.

Tevez's advisor Paul McCarthy told Sky Sports News: "Carlos will be back at Manchester City tomorrow.

"He wants to be back playing football and that's what he's best at doing. In the couple of seasons before this year, which has obviously been fairly awful in terms of everything that has gone on post-Munich, he was the leading goalscorer for Manchester City.

"He needs to be back, he needs to be pulling on a Manchester City shirt again, he needs to be doing what he does, and that's score goals and help his team.

"And he wants to help Manchester City to win the title and I think Roberto Mancini has opened the door now. Once Carlos is back in the country, once Carlos gets his fitness back, I think he will be an asset for City.

" The latest development comes after an expected move in the transfer window came to nothing and following negotiations between City's acting chief executive John MacBeath and Tevez's representative Kia Joorabchian.

McCarthy added: "There have been some very sensible discussions which have taken place in, probably, the last 10 days and I have to say there has been a thawing on both sides.

"Carlos wants to be back, he wants to be playing football again. Roberto Mancini has more than opened the door for him. Now it's a case of him getting his fitness back.

"Suddenly you've got a man who won the golden boot in the Premier League last season. It's been an incredibly difficult time, certainly from Manchester City's side of things, but I think now there is an understanding that by far and away the best thing is for Tevez to be back and playing football for Manchester City again."

I don't see it that way, RM has come out of this smelling of roses as he has done nothing wrong, the team have got on without him and he has been fined and had his wages stopped and has made himslf look a right ****, imagine the welocom he is going to get if (and its a big if) he ever gets a first team game again.

I read he is to undergo a strike medical followed by weeks of training to get his fitness back, by the time he is fit to play and has got back to the bench the season will be over along with his career at City.

Shows how desperate little citeh are. They know they have not got the strength to win the premier league. Balotelli will implode again before getting his move to milan. silva has become average and is desperate for a spanish side to take him home. Aguero is obviously not as arsed as his move to madrid next season has already gone through. yaya toure will be on a downer because he lost the final, kompany has been found out to be a dirty slow liability. Take joe hart out and there is nowt left. little citeh FINISHED before its even started. Another 35 years on its way.
Tevez is their only hope a Man U reject at that.

Carlos Tevez returns from Argentina to Manchester City

He pulled up in his black Hummer about 1645 GMT. A few minutes after the hour-long medical, he stopped at the gates to sign some autographs. I asked him if it was good to be back. He nodded and drove off

Carlos Tevez makes me sick of professional football. he's pretty symptomatic of the whole of it tbh, a bunch of overpaid, egotistical twats almost to the man. I've met a few and they've all been complete cocks, personally I hope Tevez gets financially ruined, how can anyone who gets paid £250k a week have the ****ing balls to refuse to do the 10 mins of work that that week will entail?
