Morning all, this week I won't be on here as much as usual. A big thanks to H for giving pie and myself a lift yesterday, especially as it was door to door. I hope you got to your meal for main course and I hope those involved in the car accident that caused us a bit of a detour to get to the M1 on the way home are OK. On the way back to the car, a Forest fan in front of us said that we were the worst team they'd played at the CG this season.
I see that so far H hasn't embarrassed me, so I'll get there first in that I left my tickets at my Mum's (I realised halfway up the M1) which meant I had to buy again at the ground. I've then got to take the replacements and the originals to the WFC ticket office with an explanatory letter and they'll then contact Forest for me to get my money back. :emoticon-0111-blush
It was a pleasure to meet Little Miss H, and quite funny seeing pie asleep for half the part of the journey on the M1. Good to meet yorkie, and see Norway again.

Why? Why are the English ashamed of their country? The nation has done so much and you are all scared of a few political idiots who think waving a flag and being proud of your country is wrong. Imagine what England would be like if Winston Churchill was not so strong in standing against Nazism or Margaret Thatcher against Argentina or Duke of Wellington or the many Stephensons/Stevensons, James Cook, Horatio Nelson, Oliver Cromwell. You have manty things to be proud of. I read somewhere God was an Englishman, I know he wasn't but that is another story. The football team and eftir some reading cricket and rugby as well are good currently but they will be again, perhaps not the football though.

Anyway sæll til allra. Cappuccino, coffee, tea donuts and fruit are on the bar.

Frothy cappuccinos for for al, HH, Leon and W_Y
Coffees for COYH, Frenchie, Kev rob and theo
    Strong coffee for Sandy
    Milky coffee for Yorkie
    Espresso for SuffolkHorn
Strong black coffees for Bragi Norway and zen
Black coffee half hot half cold and no sugar for Charlie
Tea for BHD jsybaz jsypie Lloydinio NZ and BCFC Red
Tea with skimmed milk and no sugar for GG
hot chocolate with marshmallows for BBW
    Tea and cake for Minx
    Caramel latte for Hornette

7C and a slow north wind and a bit cloudy.

The cold is still here, -14C last night but rising to -2C this afternoon.

In the French news this morning is a story about 60 holiday makers who had to be rescued by helicopter from the slopes of Alpe d'Huez when the cable cars they were travelling in ground to a halt 70 m above the ground. The story had a happy ending as they were evacuated to the mountain top restaurant for their lunch. ;)

Sad news about Witney. Maybe life is easier if you are not rich and famous. ;(

Its not that i am ashamed of my country (well maybe some things). But when it comes to showing our patriotism the English generally end up rioting. We seem to be unable to show how we love our country with out then fighting someone. The Irish and the Scotts are different, their music is incredibly patriotic and so are the people. Just look at Al in the 'anti-scotland' episode.

Very chilly morning here but supposed to warm up later. Mrs H refused to shake hands this morning after I said last night's green beans were a bit overcooked. We may have to call the PFA in...

Good morning Ak thanks for the coffee & Pro-English comments.

Dan I think you are wrong, our Rugby supporters, The Barmy army and our English Fans in the last World Cup were welcomed by other nations with open arms, very rarely now do any of our visiting supporters get involved in violence in the Champions League. There is healthy rivalry between us and the home nations and a lot of jealousy too. It is our politians who state we should be considerate of all of the nationalities that live in our country, which we do, but they sometimes take it to extremes.

Thank you again Ak for your words and yes we do have a lot to be proud of as a nation (and not just England but the whole of the UK)

Well the Suarez saga takes another turn with an apology to his manager ad football club....I can imagine the next turns...

    1. He will castigated for not apologising to Evra..

    2. He will have an interview with a Uruguayan newspaper where he will that as he believes he has done no wrong, why should he apologise - of course it will later be calimed that his real meaning was taken out of context and also lost in translation..

and so it will run and run..

    Yup :(
We find it hard enough to score tries as it is, without the ref failing to award them. Our own fault though - a few moments of madness getting two players sin-binned. An improved performance on last week though, at least looked likely to score - and looked a lot better without Dan Parks

    Need them up here too.....
As a result of my lack of enthusiasm to cut up the chicken before putting in the cat dish, Mme apparently is planning to go out on her own on the evening of the 14th <doh>

    hello all :)

i decided, Barry, to let you do the honours on the 'embarrassing Barry' front ;)...i'm impressed! It was no probs taking you and pie, a pleasure in fact. Looking forward to seeing you both on Tuesday. :). And yes, wasn't it a pleasure meeting Yorkie, and of course, seeing Norway, though being up the other end of our merry little band, i heard him more than i spoke to him...Dan, you have a rival ;).

Long day again today..there's something about working on sundays that makes the day seem a hell of a lot longer than it is!

Ah well, time to relax now, before heading to the kitchen later :)

I see that West Brom got in 42 shots against Wolves. Almost one every two minutes. Is this a record I wonder?
