    Attendance 11.800 (1.428 Foxes)

The Hornets welcome the Foxes for a midweek match. Both teams faced difficult opponents on Saturday for different reasons with different outcomes although both successful in a style.

    WATFORD

    • The Manager – Sean Dyche

“We have to accept that Forest had better chances overall but, although we weren't quite there, we did very well to respond to going behind with what was a resilient performance.”

“We played quite well in patches and even had a couple of chances to nick it in the second half but had we taken one of them we would have been nicking the result.”

    • The Hornets

Troy Deeney has pulled a hamstring and is doubtful for the game and the two usual suspects Stephen McGinn and Martin Taylor are still not playing. A knee injury from the Doncaster Rovers game in February 2011 keeps SM out and a broken toe in a training accident MT.

    Tonight's team
    Scott Loach
Lee Hodson, Nyron Nosworthy, Adrian Mariappa - goal 5 mín., Lloyd Doyley - sent off 90+2 mín.
Craig Forsyth - goal 80 mín. for Sean Murray - goal 33 mín. - 46 mín., John Eustace (c), Jonathan Hogg, Carl Dickinson for Alexander Kacaniklic - 90+2 mín.
Prince Buaben for Joe Garner - caution 14 mín. - 82 mín., Chris Iwelumo

Substitutes: Rene Gilmartin (gk), Carl Dickinson, Mark Yeates, Craig Forsyth, Prince Buaben

    LEICESTER CITY

    • The Manager – Nigel Pearson about the Cardiff City game.

"I thought we played with confidence and we even looked to create one of two more chances. There have been suggestions that, after conceding, we have a tendency to look a bit jittery, but I thought we dealt with the last ten minutes very well.”

“The chemistry within the group is better; with the lads that have come in and the players that were already here there is a more positive mind-set.”

“Against a side that have reached a domestic cup final and done very well in the league, we dominated the majority of the game.”

    • The Foxes No injury news or suspensions but with Paul Gallagher, David Nugent and Jermaine Beckford Leicester have three attacking players who know where to find the goal.

    Tonights team
    Kasper Schmeichel
Wes Morgan for Lee Peltier - 46 mín., Matthew Mills (c) - caution 32 mín., Sean St. Ledger, Paul Konchesky - caution 62 mín.
Steve Howard for Lloyd Dyer - 84 mín., Richard Wellens, Neil Danns for Daniel Drinkwater - 46 mín., Paul Gallagher
David Nugent - goal 11 mín goal 18 mín., Jermain Beckford

Substitutes: Conrad Morgan (gk), Steve Howard, Ben Marshall, Neil Danns, Wes Morgan

Paul Gallagher found the goal on saturday, twice

    Who will win?

Current form With a success over Cardiff City on Saturday and their push for promotion Leicester City will prove difficult opponents. The visitors have five wins two draws and two defeats since the beginning of the year, they are still in the FA Cup and have scored fifteen goals. The defence is strong which will be a hard test for Watford's shy strikers. Watford's year is almost the opposite. Four defeats, three wins and one draw, but unbeaten for three matches. Losing Marvin Sordell would perhaps limit the Hornets attack but five goals in three matches does not appear so, Troy Deeney and John Eustace scoring two goals each and Joe Garner one
    .
Akureyri's Prediction: 2-0 Leicester City should offer tough opposition with their recent results but Watford have been collecting useful points but without looking convincing. All this will be turned upside down and Watford will rediscover the form from the Tottenham Hotspur cup game and see off a battling effort from the visitors.

Good job once again AK. I am thinking this will be an exciting match, but as its midweek i can only see a defeat. When ever i travel down on a tuesday we end up loosing! I will predict 1-2 to the Foxes. :( The best thing about it should be the atmosphere.

Very Good job on this thread <ok>
I think it be a good match (games between city nd watford hav been for lst few years ) nd after lst sat vs cardiff we should hav alot of confidence going in2 game.
the Foxes have not got a league back to back win all season bt city need to start nd i think that this could be it, i going for a 2-0 leicester win
just to let you know that u put up a pic of Andy King (who is injured atm) nd nt Paul Gallagher

    Top thread <ok>

Should be a great game, they usually are between City and Watford at your place.

    I'll say 3-1 to Leicester.

Beckford is looking razor sharp at the moment, I think he'll get a couple after Nugent scores an opener.

No doubt Mark Yeates will score against us, again.

    <ok>

So BHD if you go to the game Lloyd Doyley will score and Watfrod will lose. That is difficult choice to decide.

great thread as ever Ak :) thank you. I'm a bit worried about this game, i can see us getting well and truly hammered, having witnessed the performance yesterday. That said, i'm sure SD will sort it, so i've talked my heart back into a 3-1 prediction..obviously. Again, not letting on what my head is saying (but it's not pretty!) ;)

    2-1 Leicester

Beckford and Dyer for us and Mark Yeates will smash in another free kick against us

Assuming Yeates plays - he's been on the bench for the last few but I think he might start as a swap for Murray. I was disappointed how little we gave the ball to Kacaniklic yesterday - if we could remedy that, I'm looking forward to seeing what he can really do. I can't see Leicester being as wasteful as Forest were so we'll have to give a performance similar to the one we gave against Spurs, with a better result.
