It's gonna get even colder. Halfway down the article it refers to Ferdinand, and it's spot on. http://www.independent.ie/sport/soc...-lost-in-translation-for-capello-3017062.html
we want football to unite not divide. at the moment, everyone is united in their contempt for LFC and KK.
When Redknapp gets the job it will be good to see the FAs money go to an English bank account for once.
It's impossible for ferguson and ferdinand not to look like they are taking the moral high ground, when for the whole of this saga, Saurez, Dalglish, and numerous Liverpool fans have been skulking in the gutter with no excuse too absurd or grubby to deploy. Shame.
" The Liverpool manager has looked and sounded out of touch with the race issue since the controversy first erupted. He has been in defensive mode from the start. There was the abysmal sight of the Liverpool players all wearing T-shirts in support of Suarez after he was first exposed for his comments to Evra. The club has lost a lot of its traditional standing in the months since. It took Ferguson yesterday in his post-match comments to remind Liverpool FC of its stature. "That player should not be allowed to play for Liverpool again. The history that that club has got, and he does that, and in a situation like today, (it) could've caused a riot. It was terrible." Dalglish, for his part, remained deep in denial afterwards. He hadn't seen the incident, he said, it was the first he'd heard of it. There'd been a confrontation in the tunnel at half-time between the players. Dalglish denied it had anything to do with his player. United have had the high moral ground on this issue from the start. It will gall Liverpool fans to admit it but their team was second best on the field yesterday and have seen their reputation lowered off it. Ferguson continued to win the argument when he conceded that Evra should not have celebrated the win so brazenly after the final whistle. But far more serious damage had been done before a ball had even been kicked." From your source, The Independent
Suarez will lways be potraited as the villian by the highly pro-united press. So he didn't shake his hand, big deal. If i was Suarez i wouldn't shake the han of a lying scumbag, who hid behind a pc mask with no firm evidence. If Suarez for one split second had thought whatever was said that day was racist in any way shape or form, would he have said "yes, i said that." Evra changed his story 3 times, yet not once did anyone doubt his comments. Suarez was guilty, because the PC brigade wanted a hanging. I had an experience a few years ago when a former work collegue accussed me of sexual harassment, i was suspended without pay for 3 weeks whilst our HR department studied the facts. My " crime" i sent them an email inviting them to an after works drink, after i forgot to include them in an original email to the rest of the department. Even though i was eventually cleared of any wrong doing, i never recieved an apology from a single person and was treated a bit of a slime ball because of what happened, even though i was totally innocent. Evra's actions yesterday where far worse, than Suarez not shaking his hand. Trying to maime Suarez in the first 30 seconds, only to catch Ferdinand who was extremely fortunate to escape serious injury. Starting an altacation in the players tunnel at half time and finally deliberately winding up an already voilatile crowd with his actions at the end of the game...But no one will put him down for those actions, because Suarez is the villian, and Evra the innocent victim of his crimes.
See that dickhead Gordon Taylor has stuck the knife in now: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17000125
Oh look! all the closet Liverpool fans are back on the board. Moths....flame. It's ok lunchtime is switching time for self loathers. Off you go, beat your backs and repeat: "I must not be obsessed with LFC, dirty dirty boy"
So does Alan Hansen count as pro-United? He has condemned Suarez's actions too. Suarez's statement was contradicted by Kuyt and other LFC personnel who gave statements. The panel ruled that his actions on the day were anything but the 'reconciliation' he attempted to dress it up as. If Suarez thinks it is not racist to say 'I dont talk to blacks' or 'why, blackie, blackie, blackie' then he is of low intellect. Evra might not have been acting sensibly when he chose to celebrate infront of his fans and Suarez and that should not be condoned either. In light of everything Suraez has initiated up to that point - celebrating a win with your own fans is a non-event. Where does it say that Evra caused an altercation at HT? Wasn't it Suarez that blasted the ball into the crowd before he left the pitch? Dont make the mistake of thinking this is a Liverpool / United issue. Almost everyone outside Liverpool, and even some associated with the club, have been surprised and shocked at how Liverpool have handled this whole affair. The club reputation is getting royally dragged through the mud and tainted in the name of a Uruguayan footballer.
Not shakin someones hands is disgustin, kicking a fan in the head is ok...................fergie logic!!!!!!!!!!!!
You should be switching...off you go & repeat; I do not love Liverpool, I am not obsessed with them, dirty boy dirty boy...
" If Suarez thinks it is not racist to say 'I dont talk to blacks' or 'why, blackie, blackie, blackie' then he is of low intellect. " If he'd actually said any of that you may have a point!!
Rio Ferdinand called for an English manager and asked that things would no longer be "lost in translation". Ferdinand, an anti-racism crusader, now fell back on lazy xenophobia for which there is more than zero tolerance. Liked that part
On the club badge, they should change the Liver bird to an Ostrich, to symbolise burying your head in the sand.
The Manchester United manager was yesterday hit with a fine and a stinging rebuke for what were described as "racist" comments against Italians. Ferguson was handed a fine of 5,000 Swiss Francs, which is pounds 2,155, after he made comments about Inter Milan before both legs of the Champions League clash with the Italians. A UEFA spokesman branded Ferguson a racist after the United manager said: "When an Italian says it's pasta, I check under the sauce." And the United manager compounded the insult before the second leg, when he said the Italians' tactics would include "scheming, diving, referee-baiting - the full repertoire."
The first step to solving a problem is admitting you have it Tucker so repeat after me; I'm obsessed with Liverpool & can't stay away. No Tucker NO; Stop beating yourself Tucker....
So does Alan Hansen count as pro-United? He WAS a boyhood United fan, so yes. He has condemned Suarez's actions too. If you want to keep your job in the media now you've got to get on that bandwagon. Even the pious James Lawton admitted yesterday in the Independent that when Pearce racially abused Ince years ago they (sportswriters) didn't take it seriously - but they're all onboard now with Martin Luther Ferguson and the FA Inquisition. Suarez's statement was contradicted by Kuyt and other LFC personnel who gave statements. Untrue. Both Commoli and Kuyt interpreted 'por que' as 'because' instead of 'why', just as Evra did in his pidgin Spanish. The panel ruled that his actions on the day were anything but the 'reconciliation' he attempted to dress it up as. Ah, the pinch that Evra didn't even know had happened until he reviewed the video tapes with the FA and changed his testimony, a privilege not allowed to Suarez? If Suarez thinks it is not racist to say 'I dont talk to blacks' or 'why, blackie, blackie, blackie' then he is of low intellect. Except that there is not one shred of evidence that Suarez said that, and nor was it in either of Evra's first two versions of the evidence he gave. There is evidence though that Evra said 'your sister's pussy', which is colloquial for 'f00k your sister' and called Suarez a Sudaca, both of which were waffled away by a compliant FA selected 'independent' firing squad as 'exclaimations'. I wonder if I translated 'Go f00k your sister' into Yiddish and screamed it at Martin Samuel and David Bernstein thay'd explain it away as an 'exclaimation'? Evra was equally as guilty of breaking rule 3a as Suarez, but is protected as the star witness of the Inquistion like some Mafia rat in the witness protection scheme. Evra might not have been acting sensibly when he chose to celebrate infront of his fans and Suarez and that should not be condoned either. In light of everything Suraez has initiated up to that point - celebrating a win with your own fans is a non-event. Where does it say that Evra caused an altercation at HT? As Dalglish said, where is the evidence that Suarez caused the fracas in the tunnel? Wasn't it Suarez that blasted the ball into the crowd before he left the pitch? Dont make the mistake of thinking this is a Liverpool / United issue. Almost everyone outside Liverpool, and even some associated with the club, have been surprised and shocked at how Liverpool have handled this whole affair. The club reputation is getting royally dragged through the mud and tainted in the name of a Uruguayan footballer. And we don't f00king care what the FA, the United controlled media and the Prem say. as for the 'whole world', don't think you've got the Spanish-speaking, Hispanic or asian world on your side for one moment. Besides which, we've stood alone against the assorted fascists of the Press and United before when they, and the 'whole world' stood condemning us for breaking down the gates at Hillsborough, pissing on brave bobbies and robbing wallets off the dead, We didn't back down then, and we won't now. And did the casual racism about the 'Uruguayan', eh? Greasy dago, you just look at him - you can see he's guilty can't you?
