Mackie has to start up front in the next game regardless of anyone's opinion of him!. Waited for my mate in a sandwich shop near the ground as i left at half time. he is not a Mackie fan but said he looked like a fox in the box when he came on and infact said it was the best centre forward role he had seen from any of our strikers this season.
Admittedly only watched it on line but he did make things happen and his 2nd was a cracker. Be happy to see him up top with Bobby Z.
Stunning 2nd goal and was causing them all sorts of problems. A bright light in a otherwise dull performance.
Yeah. Why not. Stick Mackie up there while Cissé is out. We might as well try. And then put Adel right behind the strikers. Obviously, having him on one side doesn't work, and for MH to not recognize that, there is something wrong.
I'm one who thought Jamie was a Championship quality player but he impressed today, the only cautious caveat is it was against Blackburn who may well be in the Championship next season...
Said it all along about Mackie. He is a striker. He was bought to the club as a striker. He has never been a winger. He will never be good enough to be a winger. He scores goals and is a poacher. For heavens sake how has it taken everybody over a year to realise that he is a striker...
I have always liked Mackie and think he can be good for us in PL. Shame some seem to slate him when he now has 4 goals, and SWP has 0.
He should be played up front and not on the wing. He's not good enough on the wing imo and he isn't as good as Cisse imo either, but he should start up front for the next two games. After that, he should come on from the bench up front.
The image of Mackie grabbing the ball and telling the others to hurry up after he scored summed it up for me.
It's difficult to have an opinion on Taarabt's performances when you're watching poor streams of Chelsea matches.
mackie has always been a grafter and that is what this team needs only being able to see the first half i was left wondering if these players even train together certainly had trouble passing to one another
I've said all year long that the one thing Mackie will always provide is effort. The guy knows he hasn't got as much skill or pace as the rest of the team, but unlike them he tries every game. You'l never see any of our other players chasing down lost balls or defenders and thats exactly what we need to do in a relegation battle
If you only saw the first half mate you must be having a terrible hangover with massive hemaroids, or whatever you call it in NZ! 2nd half was definitely better but with no points it don't help so very much. Tomorrow I'll be hungover with hemaroids no doubt.
And he knows that because he watches those poor streams of Chelsea matches every week! From quite a bit outside London!
