we were very lucky today... they had so many chances they could not put away. We had no attacking presence really... Iwelumo actually improved things a shade... we had no creativity.
usually we'd stop for chips, we went upmarket today Their fans were very noisy, even in the away end i was struggling to hear our own! If you've never been to Forest, it's very funny coz the away fans can't use the front of their stand, coz there's home fans in the upper tier and they throw things at the away fans. If you look up, there's a net to catch the missiles...made me chuckle! It was nothing. The ref was very trigger happy with us, and did seem very home biased. He was crap in other words...the chant about the ref was the most used chant from the Watford end today, though for once, we can't blame the ref for the result! It was! lol Like i said above...the ref was showing a huge home bias... Very oddly, CI had a good game for the time he was on today...! probably our best player today! Entertaining? Er, no! Nerve racking for most of it..we were really quite bad a lot of the time, and they were by far the better side today. This ^ But, at least i got to meet Yorkie, so it was a good day! To be honest, it's hard to think of any of our players that had a really good game today, except Loach. There were okay performances from Mariappa, Murray and Iwelumo, but as a team performance, it was very far from our best. We've played much better than that and lost, we're just lucky that Forest are very bad at scoring! Sometimes, results go our way, but that's two in a row, we can't keep riding our luck!
Normally the commentators pick up on when they think a ref is doing something badly but consistently (being too lenient or strict in other words), or when he seems like he is trying to make up for an earlier mistake. Today they gave me the impression that the ref was simply crap, and I don't think that was just from a Watford perspective.
