Leave him be RV. He's a smug idiot who thinks by calling himself "the trainer" it will earn him the attention he's so badly lacked in life. I've put forward my reasonings as to why I fancy the two horses and I've more than proven myself at this stage. The best he can do is pretend to have info and hopefully trick some poor unsuspecting people into parting with their hard earned cash.

I think it says a lot about his knowledge that he is backing a 5/2 shot against so many unexposed runners in the field, especially with 10 of his opponents having already won. Regardless if Ut De Sivola wins by 20L tomorrow its a sure fire way to lose a lot of money.

It was a great one, a homosexual play on the word jockey, what with this being a horse racing forum and all it was completely relevant, fresh and nothing short of genius <ok>

Dont worry ROTO- have followed many of ur selections (not all but many!) and you have def won more than not! You obviosuly know your stuff and dont need some novice thinking he knows arguing against you, people are obviously allowed thier views and always intresting when people take each other on but no need for the way he has gone aboutit .

Anyway cheers for posting your selections always very intresting and keep them coming (especially the winning ones! lol) <cheers>

Smug? Just giving my opinion. The trainer is a joke and anyone who knows me on here knows that <ok>

I think you are badly mistaken but wont bother going into why, and we will see who is right tomorrow. Good luck with your horses.

If thats not smug I don't know what else is. I'll take all 3 bets and will wire you the money if they don't win. Don't let your mouth write a cheque that your ass can't cash

I gave my opinion because I had a strong opinion on it and even with that, said I hope he runs a good race for you, then you tried to slate my logic so if I have been smug I apologise but you havent exactly played a blinder yourself.

No you didn't give a strong opinion. You attempted to ridicule my selections by implying they had no chances, which was heightened by your offering of odds that you are not even willing to accept my bets on. I think that cancels out the nonchalant "hope he runs well".

I haven't exactly played a blinder? If someone tries a pathetic low blow I'm hardly going to stand there and let it happen.

I didnt try a low blow and if there was some way of me making the bets with you I would.

And I was being genuine when I said i hope he runs a good race for you, im on Ut De Sivola, so obviously I hope that wins but im not the type of person who wants to see anyone lose, apart from the bookies.

So we will leave it that, and stop cluttering the page with a load of ****e.

That's what I was waiting to hear Stick. Cheers mate. I have Fairey Delta on my gg tracker alert but can't believe they're going for this race. Way too hot for it. I like Starsky Des Mottes in that but will back Le Bec as well. Starsky ran against So Young in France.

Oddy I agree almost completely with your assessment.

Sous Les Cieux travels like a demon but unless he can show evidence of quickening away from good novices, I think he finds very little under pressure on current evidence and his trip looks a little uncertain.

I think Cash And Go ought to be fav on the form achieved, but I think a proper horse might expose them all tomorrow. Obviously I would biasly want that horse t be Captainn Conan, but unless he has improved on his fortunate Sandown win, he wont be winning this race. I am hopinh Captain Conan has filled out more and added an extra gear!

And my NAP for the day, going against some smart types is..............

Lopwardstown 2.10: Fenomeno 12/1 Ignoring the last run, this was a horse going places with excelent form lines. and is more than capable of having a good go!

This thread look like the bad old days of 606. I loved posting on refugees mainly because everyone really was their genuinely to help each other. No one was trying to belittle anyone else. Opinions were expressed but in a non confrontational way.
I read these pages at times and I am staggered by the depth of racing knowledge of many of the posters. I honestly feel like an amateur but it saddens when I see the "I know better than you" bickering.
Express your opinions in a polite manner, post your selections in plain English and then take your victories and your defeats with equal measures of good grace.

Incidentally, I think I was a better tipster on refugees as I wasnt worried about the "sniggering".

stick/heisenburg.....I have to agree with what you say.
However,a forum like this should be all about lively debate, opinions, yes, enjoyment, and no small measure of respect.
Ultimately you have to accept or reject it for what it is, but I do feel members should sometimes look at its format and try to improve when they can.
Personally I do feel it is too heavily weighted in favour of "tipping" and certain members "patting each other on the back" when they manage to get a winner. I think a bit of humility would go a long way.
I should like to see more diversity in Articles posted. I for one am saddened by the lack of interest in Articles which do not relate directly to tips or the relative merits of horses. I post far less than I used to for this very reason- the total comments I have received for all my own Articles wouldn't make up the number of comments in five minutes of some daily threads, even though I know I have posted good ones as well as poor ones.
This isn't a cry for attention, merely pointing out a fact, and I think the above "slanging match" has highlighted the downside of a forum like this where members tend to get emotive and form dislikes of certain members, especially when they disagree and get "heated."
Fortunately, I believe we are lucky - and I'm not fawning here- to have Ron as a founder and moderator on this site. We could do well to follow his example of bonhomie, co-operation, consideration, and respect.
So let's be friendly and tolerant with one another- and have a laugh at the same time!
    What do other members think?
