    Commiserations, Geordies.
You missed Tiote and Cabaye badly today, your high line cost you and it might've been an idea to play 5 in the midfield.
A blip on an otherwise excellent season though, so I wouldn't be to downhearted by it.

Pardew's done a very good job all round, with some rare exceptions and if you can keep hold of your best players and build, then you should be looking at a bright future.
Good luck for the rest of the season.
It'd be nice to see us both finish in the top 4. <ok>

Thought of the day: If James Perch gets into our CM ahead of Mehidi Abeid then Abeid must be ****ing ****. Still, we probably would have lost even if we'd had a full team and played well because Tottenham away is one of the hardest games of the season. Two weeks to regroup and get Cabaye and Tiote back ahead of a game we should have been looking to win. Liverpool and Chelsea lost too. Shame Sunderland had to put in a spineless finish in a game in which they should have taken something from but O'Neill was always going to be able to work wonders for only so long. We're punching a long way above our weight but the holes in our paper thin squad is there for (hopefully) Pardew and slimmer but still fat Mike to see....

No team should be 4-0 down in half an hour, however well Spurs played. Thought it flattered us today.

I was so pleased to hear the final whistle, we were woeful, shame about our goal difference, but results of Chelsea, Liverpool and Sunderland soften the blow somewhat.

No point in leaving this thread stickied. It's run it's course and I don't think too many people will want to post on it after today's dismal display.

Hope so, look at Blackburn today, they lost 7-1 at Arsenal last week yet were 3-0 up at half time today.
