16th in the 4th level makes all of the very blue few authorities on higher level football and live on our board,it makes them feel good, humour the fools..
whatever happens it will never be as bad as bottom half of division 4 with about 5 managers in a year.. ...Well not yet anyway.
Del is a good manager and a good man who has all the skills to succeed at this club but no players to assist him. It has been clear from his body language he is very frustrated. I do hope he can see his way through this period as he will be a huge success as a manager. I only hope it is with us.
All this 'tight leash', 'we ain't got any money', 'poor old Del' stuff is nonsense. You've had plenty of money invested in your team and you have some half-decent players. Are Adomah, Elliott, Kilkenny, Chris Wood, Pearson, Fontaine, Pitman, Cisse and Stead rubbish? No, they're all Championship standard players. Do you think that Brighton, Watford, Peterborough, Palace, Barnsley and Millwall are all richer clubs than 82? Of course thy're not. Perhaps the fact of the matter is that McInnes cannot motivate his team, which for you is very worrying indeed. You lot pleading povert is hilarious when you're being underwritten by Lansdown to the tune of £11 million per annum.
The gas spent one of the highest budget in league 2, yet look where you are, haven't you bought like 23 players, and still languish in 16th, or where ever you are? You woulden't know that though baldee, you already started your part time
I'm probably on my own on this one. But I don't rate Kilkenny that high, think he plays ok when he is up the pitch but is **** scared to tackle and who has seen him head the ball? What I don't understand is our defence is down why not recall Riberio?
I think you've made my point for me Lan. Yes, we spent a bit and brought in lots of players but the reason we are mid-table and not pushing for promotion can be summed up in one word - Buckle. And that's why you're still struggling. After a promising start, McInnes has not pushed on and doesn't seem to be able to motivate your players. He got them going when he joined, but now he can't seem to get the best out of what is a fairly reasonable squad. It's down to the manager. By the way - 'You woulden't know that though baldee, you already started your part time' - started my part time what....job? I don't understand....
Oh, ok then the reason we are struggling in the championship, one word: Millen. And our squad is terrible for the championship. They might set the league alight in a struggling divison 4 team, but not in the championship.
Squad is terrible for the Championship? Rubbish. If they played to their abilities they would be competitive. You can't honestly believe that Brighton, Posh, Watford, Millwall, Barnsley and Palace's squad are any worse than yours? Really? Apart from Maynard, your squad is much the same as the one that rose from the foot of the table to clear the relegation zone.
As I watch Rovers regularly, up until Christmas I thought that our squad was dire. Now under McGhee they look pretty tidy and capable of beating anyone in our league. That's because they're playing for a manager who can motivate and organise them. That's what you need and I'm sure you'd see a big difference.
Or it's just called a honeymoon period, we had one iswell.. Hell even steve coterill had one..it's how you react to your first loss
