I think Liverpool and Utd were both quite badly let down by Suarez and Evra. After everything the two managers have said about moving on from the problems, both the players seemed to set out to make it all about themselves from the off. Yes, he may have choked on it, but Suarez could've swallowed his pride and shaken Evra's hand for the sake of LFC. If anything, he could've justified it as a way of thanking Dalglish for all the support he's got. But then Evra could just have accepted the snub and not tried to grab Suarez' arm and also take him out a couple of times during the game. And the celebrations at the end were pathetic - he's running around waving to the fans whilst all the time checking over his shoulder to see where Suarez is and getting as close to him as possible. I think both the managers should've stood up and condemned the behaviour of their players, and expect that they probably will do in private. But then neither of the managers have covered themselves in glory with their recent comments on the matter. If they want to properly move on from it then the both of them need to start acting like it, and sit the respective players down and explain to them that they are emphatically not as important as the club.
I think they (we, if you like) painted themselves into a corner and kept painting. They came out in support of Suarez and at some point felt it would be foolish to turn around, so carried on. Got a bit out of hand, with the T-Shirts. I think Dalglish isn't aided by the fact he's not particularly articulate. A lot of the stuff he says comes out wrong in the heat of interviews. If he composed his thoughts about the issue maybe he'd have more sympathy.
Sorry mate, you're just fishing there. Cahill scissored Welbeck's legs with his follow through and brought him down just like Ferdinand did to Suarez. And there was no "separate movement", and no mention of the concept in the rules - this isn't a rugby league match!
Both were fouls, IMO. I never said Cahill's was fine. In fact, I wish they'd given your a pen or FK and you'd scored it. The more points the blue boys drop the better. P.S - I hate that rugby league rule! If you're close enough to the try line, you should be able to pop it over.
Yes, they. I wasn't part of the team who organised the shirts, or wrote the response to the verdict on the club site. I've been posting here for over a year. It'd be a bit pathetic if after all that time I was going to suddenly expose myself as a WUM, wouldn't it?
Players are not robots, everyone could have behaved perfectly, passion took over, mistakes where made. Fergie's comments for me was the black cloud of the day.
During his tenure at OT hes slammed other clubs, players and managers of other clubs over football and non football issues. Yet kung fu cantona, aunt bessies rich john, the brother from hell etc etc are not critised. Hes a hypocrite.
Just confussed, am on here defending my team and get attacked by a fellow fan?, did not add up? Sorry, just found it strange.
All managers do this Page, to think otherwise is kidding yourself. I will say this again, and I've never waivered from this. That Palace 'fan' got what he ****ing well deserved.
How are you getting attacked? All I've said is Ferdinand got the ball. That's the only thing we've disagreed on.
See what I mean about that tackle? Won the ball, but followed through unnaturally in an effort to take him down...
