Our unsung hero this season <ok>

Media bang on about him not being as good as fabregas and we're missing the man in the middle, but this guy proves them wrong. I read a stat that said that without him, we haven't won a game in the league this season! Says it all really.

He might not be as good as Fabregas, but IMO Fabregas is the best player in the world in his position, (I would take him over Iniesta, and Xavi is a bit more defensive), and Arteta is a solid replacement.

He also has a very bangable wife <ok>

What are your thoughts on our man in the middle?

I have not understood the weak support for Arteta to be honest.
He was never going to be an immediate Fabregas - but he's been really solid.

    - and good taste in women!!

It was good negotiating skills - hand picked a top mid fielder and saved a million pa in wages. Not too shabby :)

94% pass completion and he made 116 passes. :) Panic buy anyone? ;)

  11. Yes it was somewhat of a panic buy - not a bad buy, but a panic buy nonetheless.

Here's to hoping we get more panic buys like this then. I won't be complaining for sure.

I'd say that given the circumstances around the Fabregas and Nasri transfers, it was a very astute bit of management by Arsene Wenger. To sign someone of such calibre, in such short notice and get a good deal in the process demonstrates anything but the attributes of someone operating in panic mode.

  14. Agreed. Though a panic at the end some credit has to be given to Wenger for getting it done. An error only becomes a mistake if uncorrected - so Wenger was in error to let it get so late but did a good job in saving the situation.

Agreed the deals could have been done sooner. <ok> Still we can't change the fact now.

  16. Indeed not, but am very willing to say well done Wenger for getting him. Don't have an issue with the final outcome. Arteta has been excellent this season.

True. I am actually looking foward to Milan now.
Hopefully their defence is slow enough to let Theo and Oxo run rampant.
And then Gervihno should return for the FA Cup vs S'Land

Only player I'd rather us have signed instead of Arteta (apart form the obvious Messi, Iniesta, Xavi) was Alonso, Arteta is class it's a shame it's taken a few months for some fans to realise is but the guy really is top drawer....
