My contacts within Scottish football tell me that McInnes is deeply frustrated by the lack of funds available to him and how restricted he his by having such a large squad of poor footballers. The feeling is that he will go back north again pretty soon particularly if anything becomes available at Rangers. It's not nonsense unfortunately and its from a very good source. It seems to me that the financial situation is not good in the club and that the €2 million plus received for Maynard will simply go towards paying off our massive debt. A club like city, particularly with the new financial regulations coming in, cannot keep a debt of 10-12 million hanging over it's head. McInnes will have to try and keep us up with what he has got. There may be a clear out of out of contract players in the summer, but we will not be able to replace them with much quality. A few years of struggling to survive lie ahead. Would a young talented manager stay in that situation if a club like Rangers came calling?
you cheeky git were one of the inform teams in our league and just 7 points away now from play offs. see you in league 1
Captain Jack - you're welcome on this board but your stupid banter about our rivalry is way off base in this thread. This is serious business and redrobin has given some info that could seriously affect the short and long term future of our club. This downward spiral that we're on has been festering for many years and is probably the reason why Steve Coppell disappeared up the M5 so quickly. We have done things on the cheap for so many years that it's now coming back to haunt us badly. Unless someone at the top gets the message then there is no hope for our survival and remember that Derek did not create this problem, he unfortunately inherited fron the skeletons in our closet. I have had the feeling for some time that our mangers have been on a tight leash that strangles them eventually and unless it is released then DM could well be on his way back north. It's out of his hands if redrobin proves correct and I have a gut sense that he is! Back to you CJS and good luck for the rest of your season - so there!
inver, you may have read my views on your teams chances of going down on a different thread http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/122478-Results-From-The-Next-5-Games-May-Well-Decide-Our-Fate my opinion hasnt changed from that to be honest im just having some banter like we get on our board, nothing bad or serious just the same laugh/banter we get from some of you i can offer serious/constructive comments on your board which i added in that link to add to those comments.... i think you will get your stadium. and city will be lansdown number 1 toy not bristol rugby. i try not to admit to it again though
Only a matter of time. When they see how well D Mc I is doing in the championship they will snap him up.
Don't want to be the bearer of bad news but whats going to happen to Portsmouth? Surely if they cant keep it up till the end of the season they deserve the last relegation place??
lose 10 points?? if so then might be another life line for city but i think portsmouth got a bit in them to catch up if they lose 10 points.
