Post your top three hopes for the season. Just for fun, realism not required.

    1) Three way title fight between Button, Vettel, Alonso with Vettel just winning out
    2) A vastly improved Williams, led by some awesome performances from Senna
    3) HRT, Virgin to get their act together or fold

    1) Sky to go bankrupt
    2) The BBC to show Sky's races
    3) Brundle, Kravitz and Croft to return to the BBC.

Not a fan of Sky? <whistle>

OT: 1) A title battle like in 2010
    2) A team to challenge the established big 3, like BMW did in 2008
    3) Trulli, de la Rosa and Karthikeyan to **** off to DTM

-a fair fight for the title with three more or less equal cars
-webber back on his mid 2010 season form
    -less reliance on DRS
-more exciting real racing, not tyre management racing

For me the only thing that makes Sky worse than (say) ESPN is Murdoch, and that's a small factor in the grand scheme of things.

More importantly, I think British motorsport is dependent on regular, live, terrestrial F1 coverage for its long term future. In three or four years time I suspect the BBC will only be showing the British GP and Monaco, and that Top Gear will be gone. Whatever you think of the Beeb as an organisation or the direction Top Gear has taken, both of those things would have a dramatic effect on motorsport in Britain in the long run.

    1. Ferrari and McLaren to get on level pegging with Red Bull, so we can finally decide the better driver between Alonso, Hamilton and Vettel
    2. Kubica to get fit, ready for 2013
    3. To get into uni :D

    2) Lewis Hamilton WDC McLaren WCC
    3) Sky to go bankrupt and give the races back to BBC before the start of the season.
    4) Raikkonen to win at Spa, Rosberg to win at Germany.

I'd quite like to see drivers from outside of the top 3 having a chance at winning a race. It's a long while since a driver not for Red Bull, Mclaren or Ferrari won a race.

Passionate. And in my opinion; well motivated!

Furthermore, this follow up comment - also from
NNWatford - is something we would do well to take note of:

I seriously hope you are wrong NNW. But I confess that I do share your concerns…

    my hopes:

    1) Announcement that Bernie has been sectioned - and M.Brundle was registered previously as his EPA (Enduring Power of Attorney).
    2) Brundle cancels SKY contract, handing the BBC £200m to put F1 back on free-to air.
    3) Brundle announces a vote on choosing the worst 4 venues to be cancelled, and the 2 we'd like reinstated.

    1. I want more of what we had during the first half of last year, but without one driver dominating.
    2. Sauber to have a car that can challenge regularly for points so Kobay and Perez can show their stuff (possibly the most exciting team-mate pairing outside of McLaren)
    3. the back row boys to improve enough to start getting into Q2 now and again.

I also lament the loss of F1 from terrestrial TV, but it has been a steady erosion over the years. I miss Grandstand on Saturdays, they used to have all sorts of motorsports on at one time or another, my favourite being watching Martin Schanche in rallycross. (yes, he was a total loony :) )

    Oh, and I forgot:
    4) the teams to negotiate a new Resource Restriction Agreement and Concorde Agreement without any drama and fuss.

Optimistic odds are a million to one. <laugh>

P.S. The other benefit is that if the "free-to-air" clause goes into the new Concorde Agreement, then perhaps someone at Sky will **** a brick...
