Do you think the West Ham game will decide who wins the championship title? Who would you play? What formation? Tactics? If we win I firmly believe we can finish first in the league COYR's I would go 4-4-2:- Davis Richardson, Fonte, Hooiveld, Fox Guly, Hammond, Cork, Lallana Sharp, Lambert Hammond in to offer us a bit more protection in midfield. I think we need to be solid and defensive we maybe lucky and sneak a goal!
No. Saints will have 15 games left, West Ham 16. The momentum that the winner will gain (if there is a winner) may lead to that team going on to win it.
Won't decide it, but if West Ham leaves that game four points up with a game in hand, they could certainly be difficult to catch.
I hate to sound pessimistic but if West Ham win I think they will will the league, if we win or draw I think the race is very much still on.
An important game, but still quite a few games left. It will do us the power of good, but losing will not mean the end of promotion.
A fully fit Chaplow? Yes But a Chaplow who has only played 65-ish minutes of football since the start of November? Probably not The sooner we get him back up to speed, the better. But I'm not sure Tuesday is the right game for it. Certainly not from the start any way. In hidsight, it would have useful to have him on bench today so that we could have brought him on for the last 10 or 15 minutes (as the game was effectively won). But obviously you can't manage with the use of hindsight.
How can you drop Guly after today? He was excellent today, worked endlessley. He should never have started playing upfront a few months ago, he is a far better winger then striker
No matter how hard he works punch is quicker and will do a better job closing down their dangerous attacking players he is also quite a good defender and we need the pace on the break in this match, its not that Guly isnt good or didnt do well today but punch is just more suited to this game IMO.
This. Puncheon has been great the last few games, I would start him over Guly, especially against West ham. He keeps the ball a lot better than Guly, and makes more tackles. Take nothing away from Guly though, he was great today.
The Birmingham manager said, firstly they have the best striker in the Championship, but if that's not enough, they sign Sharp. Strangely, just before a 0.0 draw
