After Tuesday many people were on here slating the team and Adkins, saying anyone supportive was "deluded" and should start acknowledging that it was "more than just a mid-season blip". You were all wrong, and my prediction that we would win today was right. That is all.
Winning today was great and I said we could do it. That doesnt change how poor our form has been prior to this match nor does it mean if we loose our next 10 matches you will have been proved right. I dont think that will happen but still lets be positive but remain grounded after our last win we had a bump with leicster lets hope not the same with WHU!
People ignored the fact that we played well and were unlucky against Cardiff, and that we weren't that poor against milwall even though we made a lot of changes. I got completely slated for telling people to be patient and not get the pitchforks out, i think the term was something like "sun shines out of adkins arse brigade" or something. This thread was aimed at the miserable f***ers that slated me and the rest of the people that were acting like SUPPORTERS and not spoiled children to be honest.
But this thread makes you out to be a utter twat and a child. Using the the old "I told you so, ner ner" crap.
I did put it across badly, but I don't care. In my opinion a lot of people were acting like childish twats on Tuesday night so now we are even.
What gives you the right to be "Holier than though" Yes there was a lot of people on here that moaned about the result on Tuesday. It was reasonable and expected that is what a Forum is for exchanging views. The fact that people expressed the view that the bad run of form Saints were having will cost them the championship and promotion. Is that so unreasonable? It would be nice to be positive all the time but the reality is some people have bad experiences of being so positive nothing else can happen so that if and when it does happen they are not prepared. They can go down into the gutter still being positive they were right!! There is nothing wrong in being positive but you just have to temper that and listen to others views and understand why others have that view. Now an example of this would be if you look back to the palace game. You had a lot saying we were back on track, looking more like our old selves. They were right of course in their thinking and came on here just as you have and barracking the few that were not so sure or were out and out not convinced. Then came the Bristol Game disaster, followed by Brighton, disaster. After those disastrous results it was not so hard to believe we could not possibly recover. We went through a very bad loss of form and as a consequence a lot began to doubt our position in the table and whether we were capable of regaining our form. They expressed their opinion on here and still am. This is exactly what this Forum is all about....opinions. Nobody has a right to demand apologies for them....NO ONE!
I didn't say anything of the sort. Do I have to apologise too? Form an orderly line guys and girls.. kiss his feet while you are there.
you had a good win today.........playing yoyo team like jamo's calamity's is not really a test that you have gotten over your blip IMHO, they have been pretty poor and inconsistent since the off.........your real test comes on Tuesday, WHU have been a bit up and down of late, that is the game you need to win to prove the point! Do I think you will get promotion? Yes, I think you probably will, but it will be through the lottery play offs as I feel WHU and Birmingham have had good runs and will prove to a bit too much for you......either way you will have a better season than us BP
