Tip: Don't watch Chelsea v QPR. What did you expect? Dalglish can hardly complain that people would want to ask these questions. He's already said far too much about the matter, got players to warm up in special t-shirts and so on.
That's it IA- who fanned the flames.. Liverpool or the media? Answer is both, but you would only expect it from one of the two.
Well said Typical. Did anyone pull out a gun, or assault anyone or abuse anyone, of kill anyone?, WE dont care - its something most people have to deal with in their everyday life, and its not got a great importance in the whole scheme of life - but Sky seem to want to perpetrate the 'importance' of it all - it doesnt have any.
The fa report? Are these the same that continually pick our national manager? I reckon Stuart Pearce must be ready to resign then. I've also seen a utube of Evra calling jimmy floyd hasslebank a mother......n.....! That's rude. I bet the fa did not take that into consideration .
OK, maybe the missing word here is 'physical' - i get (verbally) abused most days at work, and i probably verbally abuse people too - it happens everywhere, all over the country, every day - in the whole scheme of things it aint that big as what has happened today. Who cares that he didnt want to shake his hand? !!!!!!!!!!!!
We are one warship away from war with Argentina. I reckon we ought to be shaking hands with someone else right now. Btw have you seen Argentina's prime minister? I would put my Exocet into her belgrano any day.
Liverpool FC have made a big song and dance about this whole story. I have no idea why. Chelsea haven't felt the need to do anything similar. No matter which way you look at the 'refused handshake', the handshakes shouldn't have happened today. They didn't happen when QPR played Chelsea in the Cup a few weeks ago. Suarez believes he is innocent, blames Evra and doesn't want to shake hands: Liverpool should sort it so that the handshakes don't happen. Evra believes he can't shake the hand of a man who has racially abused him: Man Utd should sort it so that the handshakes don't happen. If either of the above scenarios had played out and the handshakes were left out altogether, there would have been no 'analysis' of the lack of handshakes. Someone's playing the victim.
Who gives a toss if the handshakes should or shouldnt have taken place? in the whole scheme of things it aint important - in actual fact, the whole thing has no importance whatsoever!!!
My theory. Sky insisted they handshake. Great tv. The fa who are a wet as a flounders ring piece would have gone along with it. Another chance for them to show how clever they are and how they knocked that little foreigner suarez into shape right mr Bernstein?
Racism has no importance whatsoever? Right... Tip #2: if you don't want to talk about an issue, don't start a thread about it.
From the Suarez tweet it sounds like Manure and RS came to an agreement that Suarez/Evra would not try to shake hands and Evra went back on the deal (at the last minute) to make Suarez look bad.
Tip #3 - never use a badger as emergency toilet paper as they really don't like it and have sharp teeth
Excuse me ?? Am i not talking about it?- i've probably made about 5/6 comments against your how many ???? I have started a thread saying that i disagree with the media importance of a handshake- i have made no direct reference to racism. Why dont you come out with some (constructive) comments of your own, if you want to comment at all? Instead of dissing other peoples views, just because they maybe dont represent your own?
How is racism important if both Evra and Suarez don't care a toss about it? After all they both use the n word. Both want to be victims at our expense. If the fa want equality then throw them both out of the country
I think the whole situation could of and should have been handled better by LFC,Dalgliesh and Suarez from the very start.Suarez claims what he called Evra is not offensive in his country which I think we all accept is true but the tv replays will show they are not having a friendly chat but if they had come out straight away and explained cultural differences and Suarez apologised sincerely we would not be having this conversation today.
Aggressive. Nice. If you can't see any connection between the handshakes and racism, then there's no point. The handshakes shouldn't have happened full stop if either party wasn't going to shake hands, and the deal suggested by AHLL was a ridiculous idea, if true. Bye.
Stu, Irish (I tried it the other way round) Blackheath tomorrow at dawn - bring loaded handbags. All Hell Super, call the undertakers - the media have won.
