I really think that AVB is out of his depth. Just watched the game and there was nothing in the way of direction or motivation. I keep holding on to the "building for next season" line but the more i watch us the more I'm not convinced.

His subs have been shocking this season but taking MATA off for a striker of 18 who has been dogshit every time he's kicked a ball this season is the cherry on the icing on the very mouldy cake.

He's been in management for 3 years - Porto was hardly a difficult job, I could of won the league being their manager.

He is well out of of depth and no-where near good enough to be a top premiership manager.

Agreed. Paying all in all £30m for the replacement of Carlo makes Torres look like bargain of the century<grr>

If AVB makes it through the next couple of days I will be very surprised and very pissed off,he needs to go now and in comes Gus until Jose is available or lets get Moyes who knows how to get the best out of mediocre players which face it is all we've got.

It guts me to see us the way we are at the moment. I'm all for transition and I didn't think we would challenge for the title this year, but we don't seem to be moving in any sort of direction other than backwards.
His substitutions, at best are questionable, and he just stands there in some sort of trance while everything falls apart.

Did you hear our fans singing, you dont know what your doing ? He has lost us now so no way back.
Also, much as I love him and so want him to do well,Torres is shot to bits and finished, time to put Danny up top.

Okay, RA, I don't want to be too open considering what you have done for us, but why sack a manager who won us our first double and picked us up from the ashes of 6th to finish 2nd and almost nick the title? Why why why why why? Let's face it, we probably would have still signed Mata, probably have bought a better midfielder that Miereles and a winger. Admittley not Romeu which would be sad, but he probbaly would have sold our dead wood like after the double as well. AVB comes in and gets rid of the two of the best players that are around 30. Brilliant.

This current Chelsea team has always played the same style it's too square and predictable. The back four pass forward to centre midfield but the midfield passes it sideways to either a over lapping full back or winger but then their crosses are delivered in poorly or blocked. Apart from Sturridge, Mata, David Luiz, Essien, Cahill. The team needs changing. Agreed about AVB.

Agree with this. Studge has been the only striker who looks like scoring goals so why not play him through the middle. He has pace and can finish.
I used to manage at local youth level and if something wasn't working, after a while, I would change it and try something else. That is obvious but AVB just rolls along with the dross every week.
Maybe he's stubborn and just won't change it, but my belief is that he doesn't know what to do.

Even if you make 4th AVB will be sacked in the summer, how can he not be? If Carlo was sacked for what he achieved with you how can AVB not be sacked for this season?

I dont think we can wait till summer Red cos if we miss out on 4th we're gonna also miss out on top sighnings and also if we have only the slightest chance of getting Jose back he wont come without champions league.

I know we have sacked managers too hastily before but we have you do this NOW! No way will we get 4th with AVB in charge.
It's not that he's a bad bloke, it's just too much too soon. It happens, but RM has to act NOW!

Thing is, I reckon he will be gone as soon as we are out of the CL and the FA cup. But, just imagine if we won the CL and came 7th. That means 4th place wouldn't get a CL place! xD Wouldn't that be a laugh.
