Well, we got a fighting performance in the second half, which IS a positive, but there has to be an inquest into the defending in the first half. Mackie - you can't keep a good man down...
well, at least we know now that Mackie is wasted on the wing. Put him upfront with Zamora and drop SWP. Taarabt to right wing?
Great effort in the second half, absolutely dominated! but we need to start games like that, and not just start playing when we realise were 3-0 down!! its a hard one to take but i give hughes credit for what he done at Half time.
Yessss and what a beauty of a consolation it was. Overall very disappointed today but certainly feeling better than I was 45 mins ago, back up to 16th with that goal as well.
I still believe if that was Warnock at half-time we'd be looking at another Fulham...Even if we shouldn't have been in that position.
The second half was an acceptable level of performance. I expect guts and passion even if the quality is lacking which too often it was. The first half was an abomination. The worst this season including either at Fulham, at home to Bolton etc. Fair play to them for having a good go at it but that's the minimum I expect. And we now have more than one player on more than two goals. Hooray.
I think we need to just play for 90 minutes. This game we were ****e first half, Away to Villa we were ****e 2nd half. Norwich and Wolves games were compromised due to sending offs but we still folded way too easy in the 2nd half (especially V Wolves). I feel some hope that if we can just hit 90 mins and get a result the confidemce will rise and hopefully be followed by some results. I'm not giving up hope yet.
Buz had an awful 1st half - the switch for Mackie should have been made at half-time, not sure why MH waited until 66 mins? Our current 16th position on GD is rather flattering - definitely a 5 team dogfight to stay up. Following Spurs game - maybe we should gone with Louis Saha.
