Guys, I've been in touch with Syd regarding aber's account and I've also been in touch with Mick, the forum owner, regarding his second account disappearing (Swamp can verify this from the mod only forum)
Mick's reply is posted below:


"I am really at a loss as to how this is happening, it's so random - have we even got a start date, for instance when I reinstalled the 'Points' system?
I'll do a rebuilt of the database tonight in case it's an issue there, but I am seriously confused - seemingly no one ever had this issue with the core software according to the support forums."


This issue is affecting a number of club boards on the forum and while I agree it does look "targeted" towards aber after recent events, there are a hell of a lot worse posts/posters than aber around the forums so I personally don't think it is.


Hopefully Mick can get to the bottom of this and then, hopefully be able to reinstate any missing accounts.


Myself or Swamp will update this thread as and when we get any further information.

There aren't many 'nasty' posters on the boards thankfully and those are being whittled out. Aber definitely doesn't fall into that category and is certainly one of the more colourful characters on here, it would be a shame to lose him.

Hopefully this will soon be put behind us and we get get back to the business at hand, a dollup of sensible debate, a spoonful of banter with a pinch of wumming.

........and no more alteration and manipulation of poster's comments by certain mods because it suits their purpose - that facility should be universally removed from the mod's capabilities on this forum. <ok>

Well done again H - doing the club moderator's job in the correct manner over this and through normal times as well.
 
It's not old at all Breezey - it's current. If you don't like the comments from me and others who see it that way, you'll just have to put up with it in the same way we put up with your support of the other view. I don't remember coming back at you for your recent comments on the subject, so leave it.

You guys blamed everything on Phil , including Aber's music thread , account & such being deleted & made yourself look foolish again trying to dislodge him . It was all untrue except for phil changing a few words in aber's post .. WOW !!
 
Sorry H, but this has got to be said.

"You guys" eh Breezey. Show me where I accused Phil of any such thing regarding his removal of aber etc etc. He admitted he'd altered aber's comments - he could hardly do otherwise as the comment contained his name for the alteration.

Despite other's comments about Phil, I've always got on great with him from years back on the old 606, and still do. That doesn't alter my opinion that mods (from whatever club) should not have the facility to alter the text on other poster's comments.

That's all I'm saying - savvy?
 
" You Guys " means Bluebirds , are you saying Bluebirds weren't accusing Phil of deleting aber's account & music thread . Are you saying Bluebirds weren't trying to dislodge Phil from his Mod statis for weeks now ?

Cracker, its that easy to do and makes you look a fool. Don't just dismiss it as nothing just because it didn't happen to you.
Aber accused Phil of deleting his account and aber subsequently posted an apology to Phil once he'd found out it wasn't him. A fact that seems to have got lost amongst all the other stuff.

So I'll ask again, lets leave it there please. I posted this thread to inform users of the ongoing forum problem, not to continue the issue.
We've lost some good posters over the past few days over this and others will follow if it continues.

I'm sure you can read Breezey - read what I said, not what anyone else might have said. You replied to my first comment on this thread and jumped in with both feet again.

I speak for no one but myself on here - you seem to want to speak for everybody else. Give the supportive moral crusade posts a rest.
 
When I said you guys , I meant you guys in general . I didn't say Sparky anywhere , the world doesn't revolve around you . Let it go , no matter how long & hard you GUYS try , you won't get the mods removed & replaced to your liking ENOUGH !!
 
The only one on this thread whose mentioned anything about "getting mods removed" is you Breezey. You've succeeded in opening old wounds - well done. <applause>

The thread was put up by H to explain his actions in trying to resolve the unfortunate absence of aber on here and to give us an update. As usual, you've jumped in with both feet and turned this thread into an argument that is completely unnecessary.

Like you said - ENOUGH - let's see if you abide by that.

Well I have made my decision now, I am leaving, sorry about this but I can see what Mick has now done and created an Uncut password version of GC which is good as the crap can go there, but he hasn't moved the existing bile threads to there, and the morons are now posting on the open GC , which means that the sick crap is still there.

I can't honestly stay with that decision from Mick and I am going to deactivate my account here, so there is moderator spot available on here, I nominate Norway for it if he accepts. As for myself I am going to go back to creating a new site with the same software as on here. I won't advertise it on here but will leave an email address for those interested in joining shortly.
