Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill admits he's been impressed with the quality of goals his side have been producing of late.

A number of players have got in on the act by netting spectacular strikes - most recently Jack Colback's blistering half-volley against Middlesbrough in midweek.

Sunderland have failed to score just once in their last 11 games and Goal of the Month competitions have proven real head-scratchers since O'Neill's arrival.

"We have scored a lot of great goals recently - I don't think we know now what a tap-in might be like," he commented.

"We have players who are capable of scoring goals around the penalty area, so why shouldn't they [shoot]?

"But it's not just a case of having a shot from anywhere - you have to engineer a position to get a shot at goal.

"We've come up trumps recently with some fantastic goals, but I'm not so sure that can remain forever and a day."

So many good goals this season......a few weeks back people were saying maybe one of Larssons free-kicks, or maybe the Gardner strike..

How-ever Sess is amongst them now, then you have Campbells strike, Colbacks etc...

So what's you favorite so far now?...anyone changed their opinion.

As has been stated we have scored some superb goals this season, and i'm not sure which is my favourite so far, but at the end of the day a one yard tap in is as good as a 30yrd screamer. But if we continue in the same vain i wont be disappointed.:1980_boogie_down:

I don't know if it was the best goal, but that's the one I'll remember longest because it turned our season round from what it had been to what it is now. Those two from Vaughan and Larsson against Blackburn changed the whole attitude of the team and the crowd. Suddenly, there was some balls about the place.
