Manchester United hosts Liverpool in the early kick off on Saturday. Two games before Carling cup finals Liverpool players selected would like to play very well in this game so that they can be considered for Carling cup final at Wembley on Sunday 26/02/12..This a game the media are going to build up for their own good especially regarding Suarez facing Evra. United are getting stronger which is typical of them during the second half of the season.I think Liverpool would be satisfied with a point even before kick off. As for United it a game they wants to win to be able to top the table before Manchester City plays on Sunday. My heart is going for Liverpool win, while my head is telling me a draw. Here I go for 1:1 draw. I can see us scoring......but I have no idea how the score will pan out! Thankfully, all of our rivals have tough games too so any points from this game gratefully received.
Lawro's verdict: Manchester United 1: 1 Liverpool. Man Utd v Liverpool (1245 GMT) Liverpool are on a good run and have seen off both Manchester teams in the cup competitions in recent weeks. Now they need to decide how to go about this game in terms of trying to attack Manchester United. United do concede goals, and there is a bit of a weakness at the back - as we saw at the weekend in their 3-3 draw with Chelsea - but Liverpool are never going to be gung ho about taking advantage of it. I wouldn't be surprised if Kenny Dalglish starts with Luis Suarez as his lone striker up front, with the likes of Craig Bellamy supporting him, and Liverpool's approach will probably be to sit back with five across the middle when they haven't got the ball and then break forward when they do have it. With the likes of Suarez and Bellamy in their team, that can work for them. United have to be very careful. They are probably going to have more of the ball but they have to watch they don't get caught on the counter-attack. Prediction: 1-1
