What? I knew 'Arry was dodgy but having two jobs on the go is something else. Managing a big club and Spurs? <laugh>

Mouriho has had 2 secret meetings with Daniel Levy over the past month, I'm neither a spurs fan or Chelsea fan, but I know some people through playing Golf who have given me some rather good inside betting tips, and ths story is one of them.

Pull the other one. Very few Spurs fans think this will happen, in fact many of us would be wary, because of the style of football he plays. The more optimistic of us hope for Rogers or Moyes, Hiddink at a push. Of course the best alternative is if Harry decides to stay.

Surprised you would quote HIAG considering he has been banned from your site - something I find rather regrettable unless he was openly hostile or offensive - not606 needs inter club banter not closed shops where everyone agrees with everyone else. Do you really need to ban someone in order to get your point across?

Interesting thought LF<ok> If he could find a small club like Spurs after he's finished playing he could cut his management teeth and then it wouldn't matter too much if he buggers up as no one would know.

If you had read HIAG's posts you would find he was a troubling stirring troll, despite what he says. People are obviously welcome to come on here and start a debate about anything within reason, there's just no need to purposely try and wind us Chelsea fans up like he did.

He and Ensil are the only members banned from this board I believe and being a Spurs member, I guess you know what both are like?

It wasn't about opinions THS, he was banned for constantly wumming and inciting bad behaviour despite warnings to the contrary. We actively encourage good-hearted friendly banter and have many gooners, Scousers etc that visit regularly. If a visiting fan continually spoils the enjoyment of this Chelsea board they will be banned. All those who have fell foul of this had ample warnings. These are the ones that felt the need to make abusive articles on their own board which just served to show everybody exactly why we felt vindicated banning them in the first place.

On what measure are Chelsea a big club and Spurs a small club?

Personally I don't think there is such a thing as a big club or a small club as all success is transitory, but on almost every measure I can think of the two clubs are either close or Spurs are ahead.

How about league titles won? or CL appearances? Reccord Attendances? Fanbase? Recent Success? Because we'd trump Spurs quite comfortably in all those aspects <ok>

let me try to elucidate you on this, Chelsea have three premier titles and spurs have zero. Chelsea's turn over is markedly bigger than Spuds and currently lie 6th in Europe behind only Real, Barca, United, Munich & Arsenal. Admittedly we waited 50 years for our 2nd title win but yours has now exceeded that and still we count. With the prospect of losing 'Fill yer pockets 'arry' to the England Job you may well have to wait another 50 years as Bale & Modric (mercenary) seek higher football and wages beyond what Spurs could ever dream of paying. But you are entitled to your own opinion no matter how misplaced it is. <ok>

I agree that Chelsea have been much more successful than Spurs over the last few years, and if that means that they are a big club in your eyes. fine. In the CL era, this success is inevitably going to mean higher turnover and so the ability to sign more expensive players etc. But in my mind, the only sensible use of 'big club' would refer to a much longer history. On that basis I think Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal, Everton, Aston Villa and Spurs are the biggest clubs in England. If Chelsea maintain their current success for a few more years then they can overtake the last three of these for sure, but there is also the possibility that they will return to their normal place of vying with West Ham for the title of 3rd biggest club in London

Nice to see such a thoughtful refutation of what I thought was a well-reasoned argument.....

Chelsea are 1 trophy off Tottenham apparently... So next season i will put money on us being a bigger team then you in EVERY way (seeing your basing honours won on a club being big).

Assuming you used this list which it looks according to the order of the teams in your post.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_football_clubs_in_England_by_major_honours_won

And by your thinking, Blackburn are a bigger club than City also. Proof is in black and white though so cant argue.
