Indeed ... If the American public don't realise by now this is all oil related they are thicker than your average slug
It's very clever play by the Israeli lobby however coming up so close to the election. They want to force Obama's hand to commit to these objectives now, before he enters his second term (where he will be free from concerns about re-election and so will have a freeish hand to object to settlement building, not engage Iran in a phoney war that doesn not have any American interests at heart). If he doesn't, all that finaincial muscle, all that media spin will shift to the Republican side and very much make the Republicans (Romney) the favourites for the election
