Whatever happens it is considered a failure, we recently beat the best team in the world with half our best team missing (and they had a very strong team playing) but nobody batted an eyelid.

It's nothing short of pathetic the amount of England fans that have such an obsession with knocking their national team regardless of what has happened. In any other country in the world the national team are considered national heroes (including the South American countries where many of them are notorious drug barons). But simply because the media tell us we shouldn't think that way everyone feels the need to hate them.

The FA don't help themselves, it's obvious that the media pile the pressure on with things like the Terry saga but they could have ended all speculation if they wanted but chose to draw it out. I honestly don't understand why everyone vvanks over Redknapp, it seems people completely overlook his entirely average career pre Spurs. Jose is almost certain to quit in May after fulfilling his aim of being the first man to win the 3 big leagues in Europe. It's the best opportunity England will ever have.

I actually think Mourinho would be good, I think the relationship he would have with the players would be a good one, his english is very good in comparison to capello and he would probably be closer to the players, have more of a bond. WHether or not that's a good thing, I don't know.
