fair play. Maybe JT and Anton could have made it up if the QPR fan had not reported the incident tot the police. There was too much needle over a long period between Luis and Evra, for militant Pat to let it go

Anton said that he didn't hear Terry say 'I didn't call you a ****ing...', it clashes with what Terry is saying. But what I did see on his twitter is that he favourited a tweet that said 'I hope Terry is dropped from England for what he did' or something along those lines, so there's something we don't know about there! Either way, I'll be glad when this ****e is over.
It is boring. John could well have made a mistake; but his abuse was not as bad as Suarez. But, as (ex)captain of England, the FA may have to make an example of him
I don't know to be honest, I think it's equally bad. If JT is found guilty I won't be on his side any more and I expect Chelsea to act on it. Equally, if he's found not guilty I expect every **** on here to eat his words
The players should be role models, soceity is already messed up beyond repair and when 15 year olds see their footballing idols saying or doing stuff like that, they think its ok to repeat the same or do the same thing. Although Terry is innocent and Suarez was just plain stupid not racist. If anyone is being a complete tool in what they say, they should be held accountable. Just the in the same way, imo, if someone intentionally goes in to do proper damage to a player they should be held accountable for it.
Oh come on! Please. How is "you ****ing black ****" (if that is what is proved to be said) be worse than Suarez's miscontrued (yet utterly ignorent all the same), "why, black man?" Although TBH neither of us will change opinion so no point arguing
In reply to Red. If thats whats proved to be said, he should be given a harsher ban then Suarez. However what was said behind Ashley Cole's head in the video, if thats the only eveidence? You dont know so move on. Suarez was unlucky to be dealt such a ban but it was his own stupidity.
Fair enough red.. But LS did after carry on winding Evra up ( Dale negro negro negro) after he was visibly upset over the 'Because you are black' comment. Maybe the continued winding up made it worse. Both bad though
Frankly no. Footballers performing their jobs should be held accountable to the same standards as the rest of us in our professional lives. Perhaps even more so because what they do on the pitch is seen by millions.
Blue Army--You are spot on! I realise the passion in the game, but these things cant be dismissed with the old "in the heat of the moment..." retort. Some of these people may not have had an ideal upbringing, but with fame, talent and huge rewards comes responsibility! It makes me wonder if top clubs should be required to engage a Life Coach as part of their staff!
Of course not. Stepping onto a football pitch does not give you any sort of immunity against violence, homophobia, racism or any other illegal or amoral act. That's the sort of logic that would've seen Ben Thatcher get naught but a three match ban for almost killing Pedro Mendes, Keane get off scot free for his premeditated assault on Haaland, and sooner or later another would cause another Justin Fashanu.
Makes me sick reading, watching and hearing of things like this. I genuinely think that somones complete disregard for human life should be punished severly... Lets be honest they got away with what people spend jail time for just because it happened on the pitch.
