Hekima and The Bongo Flava

The Autons - they're only 16/17 years old and sound even better live.

I know the grand sum of **** all about music local or otherwise but my sole input is this:

Do band names have to actually mean anything? If I made a band and just plucked two or three random words out of the air would it even seem out of the ordinary?

On the subject of names.

Endoflevelbaddie is from Hull and plays electro type stuff.

End of Level Baddie are from Brighton and play indie/punk.

That's confused the **** out of me.
Two new acts with the same stupid name.

How does that work then?

Well Endoflevelbaddie is obvious, as he uses old games samples in his music.

A band from Sheffield called Slow Club are playing Fruit in April. I can't recommend them highly enough! Heres a video for anyone interested:

I hope with Radio 1 coming to Hull a few weeks it will have done some good for the Hull music scene because it really needs it! Hate to say it but it was healthier about 5 or 6 years ago. It's a shame we're a City out of the gig circuit route.

Off topic: Here's a few tunes by a couple of bands who will be big within the next year.

right ill plug my 2 kids ,
i recorded them on rudimentary recording equipment , but you get an idea i suppose.
They arn't in a band and would probably be too shy to perform haaa ( they made me blurr the videos i took !)

first 1 Gouge Away - by the Pixies

2nd one , Heart Sweats - by Japandroids

3rd one is Crackity Jones - the Pixes
this is also the 1st one i recorded and as you can hear from the Kick thats a bit clicky and that was all that was mic'ed up then
