http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/16925942 Whats your thoughts? A club the size and stature of Leeds shouldnât be affected of course as we have a reserve team & a youth team we should be able to pool from but at the moment thatâs certainly not the case. Should a club be able to win promotion with say, 5 loanees in the team? Are we heading down the same road as say Spain when the bigger teams have a 'B' side in a lower league?
Nothing wrong with that, as the emergency loan fad encourages dependency and short-termism for the Football League's clubs. Allow clubs the chance to get season-long loans during the summer window, but no more than three ideally. Clubs should give their own youth players a chance when they're beset with injuries and suspensions, rather than developing those from another club.
Agree. Youngsters should be eager to burst through and take there chances for there club rather than being loaned out down a couple of leagues. But then again, I can see the advantage of a more competitive environment. The emergency loan window is a joke really & all moves that go through this should be examined to see what the real emergency is. If its that your reserve keeper is ****, well then that’s your problem!
I would prefer them to crack right down on loans, make it 2 per club per season both in and out. Big clubs soak up all the young talent and leave them sitting in their youth set-ups loaning them out until they decide what to do with them. Let's get more of the young talent out there learning their skills and plying their trade in the lower divisions working for their place.
I hate loans. Obviously, if a player is unwanted and can't find a club to sign him permanently, going out on a season long loan isn't a bad thing. But for clubs sending youngsters out on loan, even ones that won't have a future for the parent club, just so they can either sell them or put them in their own team when they are good, is a bad thing for football.
Maybe a cap on how much they can go for under a certain age and how many games they actually play could help factor that, with no long term contract established (pre contracts are ok as an incentive) Or maybe a loan going either way? Either way, I like the idea of kids being blooded rather than wasted. I really hope Wenger has learnt that as he should have been playing Walcott when he was even younger rather than wrapping him in cotton wool. Oxide Chamberin is flying at the moment and moved after very similar circumstances & I would love to see him at the world cup for England. If your good enough, your old enough and your only improve with games.
you got banned you awful little ****, that will teach you for writing messages like that on my wall, BANNED
