His interview was 'it's down to me', 'it's my responsibility' etc...

He needs to occasionally point the finger at his players and say we weren't good enough etc...

He always comes across well but he is too nice at times.

    Anyone else think the same?

The manager is at fault and so are the players when they play bad normally (although there can be one way to the other)

He does say that we weren't good enough when we play bad.

I was pretty surprised when he brought Barnard on instead of perhaps slotting JWP in midfield to shore things up and then pushing Rickie up top - in that sense I think he was at fault. Although I'm not a professional, of course! I didn't think we were TOO bad tonight though?

    We did ok.

I was more concerned with the intensely cold weather tonight so couldn't wait to leave lol

At least we can hopefully concentrate on the league now <ok>

    Fingers crossed...

I think players do need to stand up and be counted when not performing.
Agree Adkins does seem to come across too nice but do we want a manager running
down individuals in public NO ?

After the Leicester game he did say he had learn't alot and players who were given the chance
to step up didn't seize their opportunity.

I think Adkins has a nasty side to him as well...

I don't think it's right to slate the players in public anyway.

I'd rather have Adkins than Warnock. Some fans suggesting he should be appointed?! Mad.

Great leaders can share the praise when things go well but take the blame when not. Adkins is a great leader he will have let the players know what he thought tonight but hes wise enough not to blast them in public which helps no one. In Adkins I trust (god I never thought I'd have to write that this season!!)

    No.

He is protecting his players like a good manager should, especially when he knows he has the team capable of winning the league.

You don't see Alex Ferguson belittling his players.

He always looks genuinely gutted after a loss like tonight.
Wears his heart on his sleeve.
As a player that would tell me more than a bollocking from him.

We weren't good enough as a team but need to pick ourselves up and start believing.

By the way how good was Hammond tonight. True Leader.

He never has or will be the most gifted footballer but his pride when wearing the shirt shines from miles off, true pro and I only hope more youngsters would choose players like him as role models rather than the ronaldo type.
