She will be at the bottom of the weights NASS. My understanding is that they are keen to run at the Festival but not daft enough to think they can beat Quevega. It's not inconcievable that they would go to Newbury as well as the Festival. Be interesting to see her in the CC with a low weight though wouldnt it matey!
Stick, I do believe we did. I haven't done many AP bets this year though so my year ain't riding on him in doubles, trebles etc. Got SE, Zarkander for the Champ Hurdle, Sea of Thunder in the AB and Cash and Go for the Supreme. If they all come in then that's my wedding and honeymoon bills paid back before I have gone through with it
I hope you remember how honourable I was in defeat Sizing ;-) Whats the plan for the honeymoon, geographically of course I dont want to hear sordid details!
You were extremely gracious Stick, and I a little fortunate. But he made no mistake last year and won't this. Got the Dominican republic booked for two weeks, hotel has golf course and the biggest casino in the Caribbean. Prob won't see my lady til we get back home lol
I was in Punta Cana at Christmas Sizing. Fab holiday. Had a casino on site which was dangerous! Full of septics though!
The pressures on then! I always think that being a tipster must be a high pressure job. I feel terrible if I back a loser when I've missed something obvious or done something stupid. It must be terrible knowing that a whole load of other people have followed you advice. However, rest easy Stick, I don't think I've missed anything this time, you only have my terrible judgement to worry about! As for the Master Minded question, I advise you take an objective look at his form from Feburaury 2009 onwards. I don't think there is a lot to say he is worthy of a rating much better than 170 since, and indeed during, his 2nd Champion Chase win in 2009. For whatever reason his form seems to tail off whether that is because he deteriorated, whether it was the rib injury, whether it was something else, I don't know. What I do know is that after that there is nothing in his form to suggest he is worth his lofty rating. Somersby always ran him closest at Ascot, where I always felt Master Minded used to tie up a bit near the finish, so that is understandable. On the basis of the last two season I think Master Minded is about 170 and Somersby 160. I had a very good look at this before the King George and was very confident that I had come to the correct conclusion. Nothing I have seen since leads me to think I was wrong. By my ratings of the two, Finian's Rainbow and Al Ferof fit into exactly the rating I would have expected them to run. Up to their marks but not a great deal more.
I'd much prefer Swincombe Flame in the Coral Cup than the Mares. She's got no chance against Quevega but if she sneaks into the handicap off a light weight she would definitely be interesting.
Am looking forward to it Stick, almost as much as March!! The place looks great. How've you been keeping? I haven't been on here much as reading opinions is one thing but conversing about them and then getting convinced to change a decision has been my downfall too many times.
I have been great thanks sizing. Look forward to hearing from you during the Festival. You will have an amazing time in Dom Rep, it really is superb. I will settle for them being 175 & 165 ZEN and us really enjoying a fascinating race ;-)
I will certainly be about during the festival, can even get on here from work. The kids are looking forward to watching SE stroll his stuff again!
Tbh I don't think they care about the result, they're just looking forward to me dancing around the classroom like a maniac! And they will get to see that
Oh no, Vhujon is out tomorrow and I promised myself that I would back him next time out. Prepare to see him get stuck behind a wall of horses again.
Evening Nass - Dvinsky brings up the 200 at Kempton tomorrow - how many times have you backed him? And yes I am watching the footy And yes we have been totally outclassed
A good few times to vary degrees of success, including a couple of double figure wins (one on turf if I recall). Grand servant and he is running really well in defeat, one thing he does is sticks his neck out and battles throughout the closing stages. He is actually one of the reasons why I am confident on old Vhujon winning that race. He will help set it up for Larry's horse (could have a closing double - except Belinsky will win the first division!)
