I don't mean to make life more complicated, but there is a way around this. All we need is for our game's punter to be able top prove - by copying and pasting checkable evidence, or providing a link to an official bookie's site, which demonstrates evidence of any bet offered and its advertised odds and the time at which it was offered. All it then needs is a simple check of the time that the 'bet' was posted in this thread. However, I know that things have already begun and that accommodating any new idea might seem to make life more complicated for the kind souls who are offering their services to keep track of things here.

Nothing's set in stone. Race winner, pole, fastest lap and podium finish will be in there. Maybe some other bits like first retirement or top ten finish. A lot of it depends on what the bookies do really, I don't really fancy working out prices myself.
I guess we could take a few suggestions, but bear in mind we must have a finite amount of options to keep things sensible. Maybe have the obvious ones every race and then some random bets that change from race to race?
We could use a similar team 'pooling' to the one used on the sweepstake, making it possible for someone to bet on drivers/teams further down the grid. (I want a reason to bet on HRT)
