A strong Rangers is what keeps Celtic strong. You won't need to spend as much to compete with the likes of Hearts and Dundee Utd so the quality of the team will suffer. You'll be even more ineffectual in Europe than you've been in recent seasons - you can forget the Champions League money. The TV companies and advertisers also won't be willing to put as much money into the Scottish game without the traditional Old Firm rivalry. If Rangers go bust, the SPL will be on a par with the Irish league within 10 years.
And that was the case when Celtic were nearly bust in the early 90s, was it? I seem to remember teams like Aberdeen and Motherwell challenging you and Rangers doing well in Europe.
Desperation from Timmy? The thread was started by a Snout and the only deseration has been from fellow Snouts.
My pal lives in Udine. Apparently, when Juventus were relegated, the "Old Lady" fans came out with the same ****e (every Italian town and city north of Vesuvius has Juve fans in it). Italian football was on its financial knees at the time - since then, it's kicked on and teams like Napoli who were in the wilderness for years are making an impact on the Champions League.
Gambol; Rangers are out of 4 cups, behind in the league, ****ed by tax and selling their best players. If Celtic were doing all this the Rangers board would be in meltdown.
Most of the threads are C&P jobs from BBC articles. The BBC have wummed Rangers fans way more than any Celtic fan on here.....expect maybe MTS
No, I don't. But like I just said above, that doesn't stop me pointing out and having a laugh at the Celtic fan's desperation for their greatest rivals going bust. Tainted title anybody?
Why not? Are you really that arrogant to believe that if your debt-ridden club went bust that it would destroy Scottish football?
I'm not counting on Rangers going bust. A decade in the wilderness will do me - no doubt a sugardaddy will appear at some point. Just as long as he's currently a spotty teenager pullin' his puddin' the noo, I'll settle for that
