With Rangers awaiting a tax case that could see them have to payback £49m many of their rivals are hoping that club goes into liquidation. Only problem there is the money that goes into Scottish football these days is all based around the Old Firm and their fierce rivalry. Take 1 away and it weakens the brand. It has been discussed before about the Old Firm leaving Scotland, but where else would they be welcome? But say Rangers did close down, would Celtic stay in Scotland or go elsewhere?
We'd go here please log in to view this image Scotland was once Tory free and, once it's Hun-free, she'll be a shining beacon for others to copy.
As I said yesterday, being predominantly Protestant the people of Glasgow will turn to the other viable option thus making Celtic a Protestant club and pushing the Catholics out of Glasgow into Cardiff
Dunno. Hypothetically, if Rangers were to cease then I guess I'd support another team. Motherwell, probably, as it's the next closest SPL team geographically to me.
Medro has been on the missing list regarding Ra 'Gers since transfer deadline day and he returns with this Follow Follow type thread. Rangers wont die, they might have to go Newco and start from Div 3. The TV deal runs untill 2017 so they will be back up in the SPL by the time it is renewed. It wont really be Rangers though and you will be forever reminded of that fact.
celtic would ultimately go bust aswell. no european football, big reduction in season tickets, no sky money. dont know why they want to celebrate this
