    Place of birth: Newcastle
    Name: Michael Richardson

Im starting to think this might be another top striker, no proof, no facts, just a feeling.

Source: NUFC First team Squad profile

In the space of little over six months, midfielder Michael went from working as an electrician to being part of his boyhood club Newcastle United's Barclays Premier League squad.

Signed from non-league Walker Central in the summer of 2010 following a successful trial on the recommendation of scout Brian Clark, Richardson gave up his job as an electrician at Newcastle City Council to join The Magpies. He wasted no time in impressing for the under-18s and Reserves, and was hailed as an "inspiration" to youngsters who come into professional football late by Peter Beardsley.

In January 2011, the flame-haired midfielder warmed up with the first-team squad ahead of the 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur - a sign of how close he was to the senior reckoning - and a month later, he was on the bench away to Fulham and the following game, the remarkable 4-4 draw at home to Arsenal. Although he has yet to make his bow, it surely won't be long before the ex-Kenton School pupil brings some 'spark' to the Magpies midfield.

It would appear a lot of his strength comes from his work rate and dedication...Maybe we should stick him and Nile in digs together!

hes not a striker hes a centre midfielder
although I believe he was played out of position at left wing against Arsenal reserves on Wed.
I've seen him play, at first hand. He stood out like a sore thumb not just because of his hair either.
I played against him for Wallsend Boys Club (not as good as they used to be)
we got battered 6-2 and he ran the show from start to finish against a lad in centre mid who was released by Boro and Posh.
best of luck to Michael he has a great chance <ok>

He's a CM. Don't know too much about him but he's been a regular on the bench in the last couple of weeks or so and might be on the bench for Stoke aswell if Barton/Ireland/Guthrie aren't fit.

fast (compared to everyone else in that non league division), great vision, low centre of gravity means he doesnt really need to bulk up that much as his balance and pace would make it hard to disposess him providing he fulfills the raw potential ofcourse

Doesn't stand for much, used to play football on a Saturday morning when I was at School, there was a lad 4 years younger than us who was easily the best player there, got released by Newcastle 4 years ago and never appeared anywhere in this country since.

not saying it will come to much but not even a wiff of a toon scout (mate was told it and supermac mentioned it also) has been to see him and if a lad like that is floating about surely he's worth looking at before deciding he's not good enough.maybe they intend to look at him in the future who knows maybe as they have ties with the mackems he's already spoken for
