I know Pat, if you go back to post 26, thats what was said, it was referring to 'a while ago', it wasn't suggesting he recently said it. I just wish that if our posters are going to defend our cause...at least get it right!
Let me see if I can help out a fellow moderator being abused by Mr Grumpy http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article- 2004862/Luka-Modric-exclusive-I-want-join-Chelsea.html http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/modric-tells-tottenham-i-want-to-join-chelsea-2299436.html http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/jun/17/luka-modric-tottenham-chelsea http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/tottenham-hotspur/8583195/Tottenham-Hotspur-midfielder-Luka-Modric-says-he-wants-to-leave-to-join-Chelsea-for-Champions-League-football.html Link = credibility, proved wrong again = ridicule.
Ah, you mean that cock and bull story about a gentleman's agreement? That's your proof? Bloody hell...
I guess the phrase "substituentable and verifiable link" is a bridge too far for the whining moderator that get's users with whom he has issues banned and their accounts deleted. Jornalist's stories are NOT "substituentable and verifiable links" - "substituentable and verifiable links" are actual recordings, video or audio, where he can be heard to say what some claim he may have said. Sweet that the Spurs obsessed two faced, duplicitous moderator that follows Fulham's junior club has taken the trouble to dig out those links to unsubstantiated and unverified media stories.
There are 4 national newspapers, at least three reputable all saying the same with direct quotes from the player. What more do you need? You know your wrong but you are not man enough to admit it. Small man, small club.
Those links do expose some journalistic dishonesty, don't they? Despite regurgitating a Modric interview that was used by various media outlets, two of them claim it as an exclusive. Has the meaning of that word changed or something?
Sure that's journalism for you they will always claim exclusivity but the main story is correct and Modric was on record as saying that and the fact it was used by various media outlets doesn't make it untrue. I'm sure if he didn't say what he did he would have sued for libel but he didn't. Personally I wouldn't have him at Chelsea now because he is only worth £25Million at best but imho I would say its pretty nailed on for United, City or even us (God forbid) will show interest again. There's little doubt he said he wanted away to Chelsea but I was just helping those who choose not to see a better perspective of the events.
Another example of the tunnel visioned moderator of Fulham's junior club. 1 - Oh look, lots of journalists from lots of newspapers claim that their story is an exclusive Opening your story with a lie leaves it open to all of it being thought a lie. 2 - See (4) notice the contradiction? 3 - Bitter much 4 - See (2), contradiction confirmed.
Please excuse my ignorance, but I am trying to follow this thread and keep coming up against (3 times, same poster/s) the word 'substituentable' and do not recognise it. Can anyone provide a link that shows it in a dictionary please. Thanks
