Goals scored: Spurs= 44 Liverpool= 28 Stoke= 23 Sorry, but I think I can spot which team is closer to Pulis' heart...
Not pretty, but that was a great result in the circumstances. Minus 4 or 5 regular first temers against a full strength Mouse outfit. Would have been the icing on the cake to have nicked it at the end, but happy with a draw. Just hope that the dirty scum didn't do any permanent damage to any of our remaining players. Looked like Bale had a nasty gash on his leg from the Skyrtel lunge. That should probably have been worth a red in today's climate.
Decent result all things considered. Livermore, Dawson and Parker very good, everyone else not terrible.
Saw a different side to our team tonight, proud of the defending and character shown by all. Just seen Parker being interviewed - sounds knackered.
To be fair we were a little negative and were a little lucky that we got a draw. We sat back , never got many forward, gave Liverpool the initiative..
Thats the difference between our fan sets, In that position we'd be happy with nothing less than 3 where as you're as high as you're gonna get, 3rd. This may be the only point you get from your next few games, lets wait and see then and if ye come out good, well done, if not, I think you'll care more than I Bale is a ham actor even the taters we're takin the piss out of him
a bit like we had at ****hole lane you mean? Skrtel at right back, no Gerrard, 2 sent off before half time. Wasn't hard was it?
Let's remove 3 or 4 of your first team players and see how you get on - fact is we negated you with basically our reserve team
I thought Ade was poor tonight, that cross Bale put in before HT, a striker like him should be looking for one of those all night, no awareness at all, and offered little intelligent movement. Very static prefering it into feet, presumably because he didn't want to move much! we looked absolutely toothless first half. For someone who used to thrive on crosses, I'm a little surprised he's just not reading anything, always in the wrong place.
Thats a fair assesment though ye did try to fight midfield early on but were just outgunned numbers wise with Spearing doing a very good job. It could have been 1 0 0 1 1 1 2 1 but ended up being a dire game both sides wont bew unhappy with a point from
From AnfieldCat: "In my 3 minute cameo I've ran past more players than Stewart Downing has all season." (from BBC)
I agree Bale played badly and dived. But: Adam ended Bale's season last year. I was thinking myself something needs to be done to protect Bale. Well, it looks like he resorted to the Barca dive, which none of us want to see. But the question is, what can be done about star players getting their season's ended by fouling?
Fk history I only care about the football I have watched, and I have seen enough humiliations of spurs to have the consistency to take it when the shoe is rarely on the other foot, otherwise I'd be a manc.
