This shows how much you follow the media, rather than the truth. You can watch the Arsenal for cheaper than several others clubs. But then if you don't buy tickets you probably wouldn't know that.
But replacing him is statistically far more likely to result in us finishing out of the top 4, than in it.
statistically how so? - you know zilch about stats. Chelsea example- Man City example - Tots example.....
If you knew anything about statistics, you would realize the stupidity of what you just wrote. I'll give you a clue, Statistics =/= Analysis.
bollocks - stats is about liklihood with a view to past performance. Eight years ago stats would have said Arsenal to win the League 4 times in the next 8 years.
I never understand how you lot reach the conclusions you do. There is no other club in England other than the richest (Manchester United) or those bankrolled by billionaires, that has managed to achive anything like the record Wenger has. It would seem to me to be impossible to dress up his record at Arsenal; as anything other than excellent. I have no doubt that Wenger would have liked to do better, as we all have hoped, but expecting to win every year and make the top 4 is just silly. The whole expectation of success is based on a fantasy world.
talking bolox again arent you? my point was about picking and choosing when history matters......and there you go sitting on your insecure sopa box
Do you think Wenger is happy with his achievements over the past 6 seasons? Do you think Wenger is content to wave Champions League qualification, with no realistic hope of winning it as his legacy for the past 7 seasons? Do you think Wenger would be considered as great if his achievements only related to the past 6 seasons? I am not going to profess to know the man, but believe Wenger in his mind feels he has a squad/team good enough to give the afore-mentioned billionaire clubs a good run for their money! Wenger has never come out and said he wants some of the money spent at city, he is always content to work with he has...... So to come here and say/insinuate we have not done well because we do not have money is just defeatist. We might as well give the money clubs the title season in season out, whilst the rest of us fight for the scraps!
Yeah, I don't buy tickets anymore, as I am season ticket holder, oh and I'm going to the San Siro next week and you? So that's your nice smart comment at the end thrown down the drain. Secondly, maybe you need to go do some research, because Arsenal do charge the highest ticket prices in England.
history is all you have my friend, literally, last time you won the league was in black & white. remember few months back ago had some colleagues who were some Spurs fans and I just had a nice laugh at them telling them both how Spurs never won the league in their life time, and I assume the same for you. :-D. The closest you have ever come to the premier league title success was when we won the trophy at your ground, lol, quite amusing if you think about it. What's even more amusing is the second closest time you ever came to a league title success was in 1971, again when we won the league at your ground, lol. :-D go back home spuddy, you ain't got nothing on the mighty Arsenal. As for being insecure, LOL, that's really funny coming from a Spurs fan who always put the litmus test of how good they are compared to Arsenal, even your own tax evading manager said the main target is to finish above Arsenal, that's how insecure you are that you define everything based on simply doing one better than us, and let's not even start with the whole cr@p of ohhhh your not even a real north london team, go back to south london! Talk about being insecure.
I don't know why you call my position defeatist, I'm not the one who claims all our players are awful and the manager is a clown. That seems to me more defeatist than thinking we are at a disadvantage, but have a chance of winning.
No, they don't; that is not true, it is you that need to do some research. Arsenal charge the highest season ticket prices, but that season ticket is for a different, larger packet of games than at most of the other top clubs. The most expensive tickets are also the highest in the league, but that reflects on the quality of the luxuary boxes and the fact that we are in London. The individual ticket prices, as has been pointed out many, many, times before, are much more reasonable comparatively.
I doubt it. Analysis is looking at facts and drawing literal conclusions from them. Statistics involves looking and data distributions and trying to determine the underlying patterns and driving probabilities. You need to consider sample sizes and the number of variant factors and the statistical models you intend to ascribe to those variables. No statistician would look at 8 years and claim that the next 8 years would yield exactly the same number of wins. That would be statistically highly improbable and overly-simplistic. It is also ascribing a degree of certainty to the prediction that cannot be claimed from the sample analysed.
Piskie - 'The older, more genuinely Cornish conception envisages a wizened old man, sometimes in a green suit, who both threshes grain and rides a horse. ' is that a good likeness?
' What statistical method were you using to come to this conclusion? ' -err contrary wild guess? is that a statistical method?
