Suarez still stands by his interpretation of the context in which he used the word though, its the way his evidence of Evra's behaviour and what Evra said was waved aside therefore making out that Suarez lied that rankles with me.
The media's reaction to this sickens me almost as much as the FA's bias verdict. I feel for Suarez as it has heaped so much **** on him that he doesn't deserve. I hope he tears United's defence a new one, and makes Evra look like the crap defender he is.
Thing is Dave - people believe anything in the papers. Yes we are all a bit sick of it now but it is refreshing when a journalist publishes a different view and tbh it would be nice if a few more main stream had - it may not change the perception of those who hate all things Liverpool but it would add a bit of balance. Most people haven't read the report and keep coming out with ridiculous statements and you're right, it won't change anything by reading it but if more people were aware of what a sham it was and the inconsistencies were pointed out/analysed, if it changed just one person's view it would be welcome.
Ta Page. At least I won't have to get up at 4am to warch the match tonight! Got some beers in and a litre of duty free Chivas to watch it with
That is exactly why I posted the link. If just one of the idiots that keep turning up on here, spouting rubbish, without knowing the facts, reads this article, and maybe, thinks a little differently about it, its worth it.
I accept all that you say and agree with you. However, whilst we KNOW that the judgement was wrong the time is not yet right to make a stand - the FA have too much at stake to re-open the case and the media will only twist any attempt to do so. IT STINKS but we'll have to wait (just as we have with Hillsborough) until common sense can be applied. In the mean time let's put all of our efforts in to supporting Suarez
Amazing ! 2 pages of whinging and then you still have the gall to blame other supporters of being ignorant and persisting with issue. The manager, the club and you lot need to move on. The manager is a disgrace. You lot , inconsequential as you are, should stop looking for excuses for racist behaviour, as the more you do, the more racist you appear.
"You lot , inconsequential as you are, " Although you take the time to read the thread and more time to write a reply - if we were of no consequence why bother? Were you talking about whinging as well by any chance...
Rob - we do not ' blame other supporters of being ignorant and persisting with issue', its other supporter coming out with the utter horse excrement about the club, Kenny and Luis being racists. Answer the following questions, giving reasons for your answers: 1) What word was used by Luis in relation to Patrice, giving accurate context? 2) How many times was the word used? (mulitple answers are acceptable, giving the context in each case wins bonus points!) 3) What word was it that Patrice alleged Luis used originally when complaining to the referee and to Alex Ferguson? 4) What was the cause of the initial reaction of Patrice to Luis at the very beginning of the 'event'? Bonus points if you can find a picture of the 'cause'. 5) Why was Luis's explanation for inconsistencies in his narrative dismissed? 6) Why was Patrice's coached through his video evidence over three separate occasions by the 'independent' FA panel? 7) Despite numerous inconsistencies in his evidence, why did the FA panel accept Patrice's version of events without critique? 8) Patrice admitted provocation and threats of violence to Luis during the 'event' - a clear breach of Rule E3 (1) - using abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour towards a player. What was his punishment? Once you've proved you're not just another ignorant lumpen-headed WUM out to large it up over Liverpool FA and its fans, we'll take you seriously. We might even overlook your clubs' record for employing players who do far more than use words abusively...
Is it ok if I say Glen Johnson is a friendly negro person, cos this negro friendly person is having negrobox put in his negro aeroplane. And has a negrohead on his face. If you can work that out I havent racially abused Glen Johnson at all have I????
That made as much sense grammatically as the sentence the FA created in Spanish & pinned on Suarez; Well done for proving the point, thanks!
