I think it's the duty of the comedian to find out where the line is drawn and cross it deliberately. — George Carlin

Tragedy is if I cut my finger. Comedy is if you walk into an open sewer and die. — Mel Brooks

The man with the real sense of humor is the man who can put himself in the spectator's place and laugh at his own misfortunes. — Bert Williams

I think that the tendency for most people is to fall back on a comic interpretation of things - because things are so sad, so terrible. If you didn't laugh you'd kill yourself. But the truth of the matter is that existence in general is very very tragic, very very sad, very brutal and very unhappy. — Woody Allen

"Satire is tragedy plus time. You give it enough time, the public, the reviewers will allow you to satirize it. Which is rather ridiculous, when you think about it." — Lenny Bruce

    Of course they are theories

But the way science operates is that any definite prediction happens under specific circumstances (hence global warming being based on computer models).

Is Gran Canaria falling into the sea and causing a tsunami possible? Yes. Is it probable? No. That doesn't mean it will never happen.

Last night on chat you said you hoped that EDGE would drop dead and hoped that I would be raped. You've also called another poster a ****ing spastic.

And you have the brass neck to come on here acting all high and mighty?

    You're just a hypocritical ****.

Why are the Japanese so worried about their nuclear reactors going into meltdown? Average temperature of a nuclear explosion is 300,000 degrees centigrade.Surely that's gonna help dry stuff out?
