It's his first season in England and his 3rd season in management, give the guy a break. Every English reporter is a ****er and out to catch any manager out with questions that give away anything and he's probably been told this therefore leading him to come across as a ****er. Oh and the fact the press have labelled him as a manager under pressure won't have pleased him either. I would be a knobhead if it was me.
Exactly. By and large AVB treats the english gutter press exactly how they deserve to be treated. They spend their whole time trying to get some sound bite to cause some form of non story, normally at the detriment to the club or manager. I suppose he could do a fergie and not bother with interviews after a disappointing result...and he's meant to be a knight of the relm.

so in the previous 2 seasons chelsea have finished 1st and 2nd, presumably ancelotti was sacked because AVB is better than him, and the result is that chelsea have been hovering around 4th to 5th, yet he believes he is immune from criticism from people who have actually played professional football, of course he is under pressure if 1st and 2nd isnt good enough, he's incredibly lucky to still be in a job considering others have been fired for doing much better redknapp comes across well, so did ancelotti, the others like dalglish and mancini are more reticent, but AVB is on another level in terms of being media 'unfriendly'.
Are you joking?! Watch every Dalglish interview this season, he's a **** in every single one. Reporter can't do anything right. Same with Wenger and Fergie for the past 15-20 years Like I said, he's young, let him find his feet with the media.
We've been cruising for 8 years since Roman took over! Key players over that time are now in the twighlight of their careers, and my guess is we haven't really blooded their replacements the way we should have! Yesterday was a marvellous step forward when we didn't have Drogs, JT ,Lamps,and Ash (all between them averaging 31 1/2 years old) and were forced to play our"future"--and for me, they did the biz! But for a dodgy ref they would have done us proud!
Hmm...have to agree - biggest tumour of all has to be AVB; I just don't see anything happening with this guy at the helm. I seriously think he's 2/3 indifferent results away from having his a*re handed to him along with his p45. Inconsistent results, poor team selection & zero motivational skills have been AVB's hallmarks so far as for his lame accuse about QPR derailing our season..........PLEASE. Seriously , sooner we bring in Gus (if he's available) the better - we have a month's grace to effect change after that even the wooden spoon of 4th place will look like a pipedream. The situation has got so bad we're even begging Tottenham to do us favours...this is the reality of Boas World it will get a lot worse.
Is getting rid of managers constantly not an issue as well? Look at whats coming through in our ranks. The sooner we get rid of the over paid over aged players (although they are mostly legends) the quicker our revival starts. If we didnt play malouda against united, and had a striker that actually had the confidence to shoot, and when he shoots not drag it massively wide the result would be different imo. Malouda (Couldnt get into blackpools team) Bosingwa (awful attacking right back, cant cross) Cole (whos been mediocre) Lampard (Just too slow imo) Terry (Wish we could keep him forever but he doesnt have many seasons left and Luiz for me looks excellent more so each week) Drogba (Biggest ego ever.com) And the rest of the lead weights like Ferrira (spelling lol)
Only person I'd take right now is Jose. Look at Fergie's first couple of seasons at United and you'll see all AVB needs is time.
Is it AVB's fault when his striker doesn't shoot from 8 yards? No. Get some one who's not terrified when he's in front of goal and things may be different. There's only so long we can keep saying that Torres isn't confident. He has to take responsibility for his game. He's not a child.

Why do you think this? Do you only dislike him because of the way he is with the press? I'm sorry but an unbeaten season in portugal with Porto and a treble of trophies isn't a sign that a manager shouldn't be in football
You've never watched Portuguese football or have idea of how tings work over here. I'll explain.Porto possess all the riches,they are the richest club in Portugal.Pinto da Costo,Porto chairman is a horrible old man,he bribes refs,and the evidence is all over youtube of him bribing refs(conversations with refs),why hasn't he gone to prison you ask me? Portuguese teams are very poor(l2/conference level),only the top 3 plus Braga are any good with one or two tricky away fixtures. The only thing he did that was any good was beating Benfica home and away and beating them in the cup aswell. Portuguese football is miles off english football and most of european football... I like AVB before he came over to the U.K,I thought he was gonna be better than Mourinho...
Apart from the first paragraph I agree, but you say you liked AVB before he came here, this tells me that the only reason you don't like him now is because of his media handling skills? I think you should look at people like Dalglish before AVB
Not sure I follow your logic banana boy. You don't like AVB because of the Porto owner and because he came to England. If you'd mentioned football style or management style maybe your opinion would be worth something....but you didn't and it's not.
It's not just the complaing about refs thing that annoys me,it's not the worst thing. How can a foreigner complain about when we play our football?Wait a minute,wait a minute,wait a minute...Wait,he comes offer he because he wanted to,no one forced him to do so and he complains about when football should be played(Xmas period).Yes,it's a free country and that,but don't go around saying sh1t like that,have some respect AVB.
