I thought I would create an article to discuss the Japanese Earthquake and Tsunami and the implications it is likely to have for those affected.

It is a **** thing to happen but what support can realistically be offered. We can't bring their loved ones back nor can most of us afford to donate to them (other than the wealthy who always ask the public to donate for them)

sorry mate, Im really not looking for an argument here, but your support on a football website is exactly as inconsequential as the jokes about it. Neither matters a jot in the scheme of things.

Jesus these ****ers really wind me up. No one is mocking the tragedy, do you not have text msgs come through everytime a shuttle explodes or Mother Nature unleashes her wrath? It's in our nature to make light of serious things like this kid, I find it extremely odd you even feel offended.

You've never laughed at a joke about a dead person?

No, it's pathetic mocking someone who can't even defend themselves. You can have humour without making jokes in reference to a tragedy if you just engage your brain.

I'm sorry mate, but the only purpose your post serves is to make you feel like a caring, compassionate person. It does nothing to help the people who have been affected, just as the jokes on the other thread do nothing to harm them. The reality is that we're all sitting on our fat arses at home having no impact on the situation. If you want to delude yourself that you're better than the rest of us, have at it, but your post is nothing but self-serving, self-aggrandising tosh.

I do need to remember you clearly haven't seen any of the world, experienced death and have lead a sheltered life before responding.

I apologise. But it won't make a difference to me being able to laugh at tragedies (Incidentally, also worrying about a good friend out there whilst laughing...)

At least I'm not so pathetic as to laugh at people who can't even defend myself and instead am counting myself lucky that I live in country that is never affect by such events.

I wonder how many of you would be "brave" enough to say these jokes to people who are directly affected.

Why would you be offended? I was specifically referring to John Smith. And I'm sorry if you took an offence, but like I said, i was referring to John Smith and John Smith only.

That's up to you, if you want to carry on laughing, then you go ahead and do that. It just sum you up as a person.

    Go figure!
