This is a very wide and open thread for those that want to share your own stories of the game. I once got sent off for farting at a female referee ( seriously ). She immediately 'blew up' and gave me a red. I scored a free kick from half way inside my own half against hedge end rangers ( mens team) I've played at Carrow Road and St Marys in Work related six a side tournaments. I've dived a few times. Played as a left or right winger for majority of my football days with good skills, shot and pace. Hope to read some of your replies.....
But some of my highlights (Jdub/Tadanari can vouch for these)... All during five a side: Tended to stay in my own half. I said it was because I enjoyed defending, it's actually because I was too lazy to run. Used my strength (which comes from me being 6'5") more than skill - regularly had players run into me and go flying. Got sent off for pushing (pah) when things were getting a bit heated. Gave away a few penalties for people running into me/getting a kick. In about a hundred five a side games, I scored three times (prolific) - two of them top class. First goal, squared to me, easiest chance in the world, side foot onto the post then toe poked in with my left. The other two - one pushed it wide of a defender and curled it in top corner, the other, exchanged passes with JDub, him in the centre, me on the wing, eventually blasted it top corner of near post. Did, however, score an own goal - a left foot volley into the top corner from an opponent cross. Hoofed a ball the whole length of the pitch by clearing it with my knee. It was often said I have a prosthetic left leg - I had to wear knee support which stemmed from the top of my sock to the bottom of my shorts, and the amount of power (note: none) I could get on left foot shots made it seem and look like it was hollow plastic. All I can remember of my illustrious career at the moment, Jake if you see any more feel free to refresh my memory.

Used to spend a lot of the season banned. - intentionally dived?-No- scored a Worldy of a goal? Yes,ran through the whole defence,and chipped the keeper from 30 yards. - played against anyone famous? Charlie George and Dave Peach. Also played against Ian Baird as a nipper, and played with and against Paul Ridout. - have any dirty tactics to put off the oppo? It's true! It's amazing though, with how truly terrible my left is (I think it may actually be prosthetic...) two of my four goals (yes, I count the own goal) came from it!
I am a bit of an old has been. Played against a few famous, most notably Paul Ince (twice), Phil Parks, Alan Devonshire, Billy Bonds, Gary Stevens (ex-Spurs/Brighton) and a few others. Played with Steve Claridge, Gareth Southgate, Richie Shaw, Perry Digweed and a few other oldies, Paul Mariner, Kenny Swain, Mickey Quinn. Most enjoyably though, I scored the winner in a one nil win, with David James in goal.
Impressive stuff tottonsaint. Your wages must have all went on fines!!! I remember managing my own team for a season and we had a player sent off every week for ridiculous incidents. I stupidly agreed to pay the fines which was destroying my finances. Not only that but the players getting sent off were ringers and were playing under different names I gave them which made it extra awkward when i was whispering to them how to spell there own name when the referee was putting it in the book!
I used to play football with Adam lallana's sister if that counts as someone famous? I remember at one training session overhearing her parents saying he had made the bench for a game so they were confident he could have a future in football (even if it lay away from southampton in the lower leauges). Never thought he would be the player he is today

I had my day. One year in the game at 18 (which is where most of the names and grounds come from), then next 11 years playing non-league for most of the southern teams from Bognor Regis through to Newport IOW when they were in the Southern League; then moved up North and stopped playing.
White Hart Lane was the best Stadium; Bradford was the most exciting (England Schools U'18s with a crowd of circa 10k) but my favourite was The Dell for obvious reasons.
Played in goal beause I could barely run or kick the ball straight. The less said the better. Always had a keen eye, but with such disasterous execution, it proved pretty worthless.
Played with Theo Walcott for 2 years for Newbury Boys he was on the left wing i was on the right. Thanks to him i have had many free tickets to watch Saints in the past. He was awesome then as well scored about 90 goals in one season to my 25 lol
I've played in every position possible, but I am more of Striker than anything. -had a fight with an opponent? Plenty of scuffles, but nothing more. Best sending off I've seen was when a teammate threw the ball at a opponent who thought it was deliberate and flipped out and nutted him. Both got sent off strangely. - been sent off? Nope, I'm a good boy. - intentionally dived? Yeah I reckon I have at some point. - scored a Worldy of a goal? Scoring from my own half, Beckham-esque was a particular highlight. A couple of years a go I decided to take most of the opposition on and getting away with it and when I got to the edge of the box chipping the keeper with my weaker left foot into the top corner. It will never happen again!! - played against anyone famous? When I was about 13 I stayed in the same hotel as the England team, I was having a kick about with a mate when Defoe/Jenas came over and joined in for a little bit which was a good laugh. Also played against Valencia academy team whilst on tour with my school so I am sure at least a couple will make it pro, got a vid so I can look back in a few years and say I played against that player. - have any dirty tactics to put off the oppo? Nope, just scraping the back of their leg with my studs is probs the dirtiest I've gone. - ever played at any professional stadiums? A few minor stadiums, like Bromley, Whyteleafe and the Valencia Training Ground. - ever played with or against a past or present saints player? Sadly not.
Class!! My little sis was/is good friends with his missus (went to school together). God knows I've tried to get free tickets but never got anywhere!
I occasionally play in goal. I think I have fairly alright reflexes but my handling isn't great. Last time I played was at a charity event last year! Was fun!
