We all love a bit of a laugh at Lawro, but you've got to give him credit for his Mirror column yesterday – he's stubborn if nothing else!

He has been proved embarrassingly wrong about us this season but refuses to buckle and this latest installment is almost poetic in it's idiocy, a masterclass in bitter resentment for being spectacularly way off the mark.

He's clutching at so many straws for where it'll all go tits up for NUFC, that he's even setting himself up for a fall next season! Begrudging little tinges of praise are smashed to bits with the reasoning that we're now playing so well that teams will want to beat us even more.
Well, we might as well give up now in that case Lawro. I suppose Blackburn should therefore be offered generous praise for being poor enough to maybe make teams want to beat them less!

Then, we get the fabulous finishing gambit of how Liverpool are being sparked into life by a rejuvenated Andy Carroll. After a decent performance in one game.

I actually think Lawro seems to have a good sense of humour but he's stretching the limits of his comedic talents with this effort. Long may it continue...

I think there's a lot in him doing it deliberately and just trying to be controversial, so it doesn't bother me. Pretty funny really.

What I think is more annoying is that it's typical of much of the football press. Genuine credit and respect is very hard to find. Not that we especially want it, mind you.

The only recognition we might get is if we do tail off and drop down the league – then it'll be 'Newcastle flush certain Champions League place down the toilet (hahahahaha)'

None of us are expecting a top 4 spot, we're just enjoying what is a great season. If you can't enjoy football in moments like this, what's it all for?

 

If we do get into Europe, the pundits will be predicting us to struggle in the league because our squad will be 'too small and weak' to compete in both competitions

 

They'll be right, too.

 

Not really like, the players we have could easily play in majority of them games. This tiredness stuff people talk about is bullshit.

We only need 3/4 players in the summer if we keep all our top guns

 

wish Shearer would launch into him on a MOTD and tell Lawro what boll0cks he talks. He will not give us anything and really is now starting to come across like he has a grudge or at least a fairly large chip.
Wrinkly old twat - do the BBC just keep pundits on cos they wind everyone up or actually have some valuable comment to make as a so called expert...?

 

I hope **** like this is pinned up in the dressing room to create that man utd 'us versus the world' attitude.
