May need to give clues here!

    2) Retired after playing only 7 games for us and became youth team coach

Well, thank you for them. They provide some very welcome pleasant memories during stressful times at work.

Cheers! I started the site a few years back when i realised there wasnt much in the way of wfc footage out there (& i was in the middle of transfering old vids to dvd)
Its been great reading comments from Hornet followers.. especialy those who were around in the 'glory days' and i have also been contacted by a couple of former players, namely keith Pritchett & Jan Lohman. The site was even mentioned in the Guardian a while back!

I thought the answer to number three could be Malcolm Poskett but was not.

Q3 The answer is nobody. The goalkeeper Keith Waugh waited for 14 months to make his debut and it was against Newcastle United but he was from Sunderland.

Q2. Bobby Svarc was on loan from Blackburn in the late 70s and played half of one game for GT I think.

OFH - yes, bt NZHorn got that one early on in the piece.

    Three more:

    1) Which player's transfer fee was a £50 donation to his previous club?

    2) Which former Watford player helped Gretna rise through the ranks in Scotland and was part of the management team when they played in the SPL?

    3) Which former Watford player played Gridiron with Joe Namath for the New York Jets?

Knew 1 & 3 but I have little to no knowledge of Scottish football, so 2 was a pure guess. Will have to think again.

Incidently I doubt if anyone else here can say that they watched Bobby Howfield play for Bushey Rangers FC.

    Sorry, incorrect.

After Frenchie answered the other two in ten minutes, I thought maybe these were all too easy!
