This video is an eye opener. http://sport.stv.tv/football/scotti...eave/#stv_clicktracker_source=posts_also_read Rangers boss: Nikica Jelavic did not ask to leave Rangers manager Ally McCoist has clarified confusion over the decision to sell Nikica Jelavic to Everton. The Croatian striker left for Goodison Park on transfer deadline day in a £5m move. The player said he would have been happy to stay in Glasgow, only for the clubâs chief operating officer, Ali Russell, to claim Jelavic had engineered his own exit. please log in to view this image When questioned whether Jelavic had asked him to leave the club, McCoist replied: âNo he didn't, not at all. I have a wonderful relationship with Nikica. He never said that. âIt has been very well documented that Nikica has had big ambitions to play in the English Premier League. He's away down there now to Everton and we wish him all the very best. âHe was wonderful for us for the period he was here. Sorry to see him to go, but everyone at the club offers their best wishes.â McCoist also insists he understood the clubâs decision to sell the player and says Jelavic leaves with the best wishes of everyone at Ibrox. âWe received a bid from Everton which Craig [Whyte] found acceptable. Therefore business was done. âHe probably would have [wanted to stay]. Like any business, any asset - if you receive an offer which is to the benefit of the club - you maybe think about doing that. âThat's certainly been the case. There's maybe been a little bit too much made of it. There's absolutely no ill feeling between any of us and Nikica. âI can understand Craig's situation a lot better. I know the financial situation at the club isn't good. âIt's been well documented that if a suitable offer came in for any player, it would be accepted. âThis wasn't news to me. As disappointed as I was to see Nikica go, Craig's only made that decision for the benefit of the club financially in terms of the running of the club.â
As long as the bigots from the likes of FF etc. believe it, that's all that matters to Whyte. Sleepwalking to disaster
I think it is pride. Their club is going to the wall and after all the "Declan, to the car park" patter I think there might be a spot of saving face to be seen to not be doing thee same as Timmy.....either that or the daft majority actually genuinely are not getting this.
So much for Jelavic asking to leave, by McCoist's own admission no such request was made so Ali Russell has been shown to be a liar. He's only been in post 6 months and the first time he raised his head above the parapet was to suggest a british cup then he's caught lying? An auspicous start to his career.
Jelavic was quoted all week that he had not requested to leave. To my mind he was making sure he was entitled to get his percentage of the transfer. Surely Rangers would not be trying to stop their best footballer from getting what he is entitled to.
Breaking news... no wait you already replied to trevs thread. http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/122086-McCoist-says-Jela-never-asked-to-leave Kudos on the attention seeking though
Did he need to? It's not some huge conspiracy that he was trying to cover up by not posting a video, even so why is there a need to make a thread about it? especially since you already replied to the first one.
Feel free to read and comment, likewise feel free to highlight any threads which are in your opinion old or duplicate information. The information which I posted has not been discussed before, that's why I posted it.
MD is being desperate Dev but at least he is putting a shift in unlike most of the bears. I am rounding up a search party for Medro as we speak.
