Another going round in Twitter is that Chainrai is flying in this week to sort out the clubs future!

That must be a good thing for Pompey fans as it's in his interests to keep club going. After all, the money the HMRC want is relative small fry to him.

Quite agree Fran , but if he was simply going to pump more money in , he does not have to be over here to do that .

I think the Third eye is right , he's probably heard about the shambles in the Transfer window & wants to over see the loan window in person .

Or he is about to sell & has to put pen to paper to do that ...............

Chanrai's demands are such that anyone with an interest in buying the club is straight away put off at having to pay him £17 million or whatever it is and that's before the money owed to HMRC and the other creditors.

Pompey lampras , But surely he won't be prepared to lose EVERYTHING and will drop the price ?

The only other option IMHO is he is willing to let your club fold & build ( Eventually ) on the land , I would imagine SG is in on this IF it his ultuimate plan ?

I HONESTLY hope this is not in his mind & I PROMISE you I am NOT a WUM !!!!!!!

Pompey fans must be like someone marooned on an island for twenty years and refusing to get excited by the sight of yet another ship on the horizon.

Actually PompeyLapras it has been well publicised that any potential buyer has to have £12m up front and proof of £20m - that's before anything else. £32m however much we love the club, it isn't worth that much. It amounts to a bit of land and some player contracts. Goodwill? Around 8500 season ticket holders - reducing every year as people refuse to "put money into the pockets of crooks and greedy b*****s".

We keep hearing that there are 2 interested parties in the wings - maybe waiting for liquidation? I can understand Chanrai wanting his money back, but he took a gamble (in one way or another) and with all gambles you can lose your stake. He should take the hit and get out before he gambles it all away.

Yes, but Chanrai owns the stadium which he obtained by lending £17 million to Al-Faraj, so for that £32 million you wouldn't even get the stadium surely? So on top of that, a potential buyer would need to pay £17 million for the stadium, surely?

For 32 million you inherit lot's of debt, overpaid and pretty poor players, a fan base that couldn't fill a 20,000 seater stadium in the Premiership, no assets, and err... well, that's it.

oh, don't forget the police bill to control the animals.

if you get crowds of 15k, you don't deserve to be in the big time. Where are the 200,000 people who cheered your team back? or the 30,000 at Wembley?!

You have the opportunity to change things through supporting your team and filling your ground... but you don't.

The reports I've seen only mention the 2 amounts required - tbf they haven't said exactly what the buyer would get - the £20m could be the amount for the stadium - we do know Chanrai has a debenture lodged over the ground itself. Then of course there's the Gaydamak land outside the stadium, apparently another £6m for that, but no indication that he's willing to sell.

Then of course we hear that AA wants to get back £10m invested by CSI, which may or may not be part of the £32m.

    What a farce!

He isn't capable of changing the record. He's a tiny little man with a tiny little mind and a spleen full of vile green bile. :emoticon-0119-puke:

If Pompey are bought before the 20th and the £2.4m in tax is paid, then there is still the case of unpaid players and other club staff.

Running costs plus another £20m+ debt to continue to be paid off.

It would be a risk which is why it is not that easy for Pompey to find a buyer.

That's why it is taking a long time.

Pompey would be more respected if they were to just hold their hands up and say 'Yea we've done wrong, we have been poorly owned and messed about and want to start a fresh'.

Yes it would be a tough decision with all that history but it would be an honest local club run by fans and no one else. It would mean everyone that is surrounded at that club would be 100% committed.

And I personally think that is best.

But like I say the fans (the ones that are left) wont go without a fight!

In the same way that you're not capable of countering any of my points and instead you resort to personal insults. Fact is that your fans have been poor, 15,000 for a club that needs everyone backing the team? disgraceful.

don't even attempt to deny it... your fans are killing the club just as much as the owners.

R&WC - That's because any points you may make get lost amongst the insults. You are just too emotive for sensible conversation.

Ok, let's put this into plain facts.

the players are not of substantial quality compared to other clubs - league position, stupidly high wages etc
your clubs fans do not help the cause - failure to sell out a small ground such as FP when the club needs them most, and these were the same when the club was doing well and spending millions/winning the cup, and thus a small fan base makes PFC an unprofitable enterprise

where are the Wembley crowds? they should be backing the club (again, what's wrong with this point?)

32 million can buy you more profitable enterprises than Portsmouth, ala Leicester or Ipswich or Forest... who's potential is much greater.

with all this considered, are you surprised that no serious businessman would want to buy PFC?

If only you had started your not606 career, with sensible posting like this, and not the hate filled rants, calling us all animals, thugs etc; then people wouldn't have had a problem with you like they do now.
